Online pornography depicting strangulation will be banned from 6 November in England and Wales.
It feels like a blanket ban such as this misses the nuanced space that I suspect others like me on this site fall into - men who enjoy chokes, headscissors, strangles, sleepers as part of competitive or playful combat, or watched online. If I watch a video in 3 weeks of two men naked applying a choke hold while one of them jerks off, am I breaking the law? Madness!
