That's an interesting application; does the opponent actually feel it?

He is a trained wrestler, so he certainly felt it. But he is also a jobber, so I assume that he was used to such!

I am mostly the one performing the bearhug, like I've done for decades!

How do you perform your bear hug? What do you find really hot about being underneath or in it?
