The feeling of being already defeated sprawled out beat to hell, then to helplessly see an opponent airborne on the way down to crush you, leaving you in the moment before Impact if thats whats finishes you off or having your gasping breath after impact smothered out by sprawled out muscle. If in the position of getting splashed thats not for play, you are at the heels mercy
Raticho summed it up pretty well. A body splash is a good way to create the illusion of using "all your strength" to inflict punishment on your opponent, when in truth it's a pretty safe move to execute. There's no "bone against bone" contact like a punch to the head, and with the impact spread out across a wider area there's no one part of the body taking the brunt of the impact. The impact can also be absorbed by the giver depending on how much of the landing he takes on his hands and knees. It's also easy for the target to sell since you're not locking up the body in a tight hold, and I'm a big fan of the sell. And yes, I love feeling the extensive skin to skin contact of another man, and as a side that's more satisfying to me than most anything else. :)
The idea of using the weight and gravity to dominate always called my attention. Specially because having full body contact with my opponent is very enjoyable. At least I love when my opponent make use of his size to dominate me and not just his physical strenght. I like to bodysplash but also being in the other position ;)
I know why I like to body splash other men, but the last 2 men I wrestled with seemed to really enjoy being splashed and seemed to want more. Any receivers care to comment about what you enjoy about being body splashed?
