I have taken a few shots to the liver from time to time, and yes it helped them to win every time.

Just wondering how many boxers out there, does anyone ever target their opponent's kidneys or liver during fighting matches or boxing matches? And if so,... has delivering kidney or liver shots to an opponent ever helped you win a fight?

Has anyone out there ever been weakened or lost a fight because of being punched in the liver or kidneys?
Or stomach punches/body blows of any sort?

I KOd a sparring partner with a liver shot some years ago. We weren't going that hard. Although he was smaller than me, he was aggressive. He stayed in a little too long in one exchange and my left hook to the body found his liver. He suddenly crumpled to the canvas, gasping for breath. I was very surprised. It took him nearly 5 minutes to get his breath back, regain composure and get back up. Then he was back on the floor looking for his contact lens. Many years later, in 2022, I was TKO'd with a liver shot in a match against a MF opponent who is one of the best boxers on here.
