Don’t the usually put Vaseline on boxers’ faces before the fight? Or is that just between rounds on cuts? I swear I’ve seen it added before, and their faces are often shiny.
Has anyone tried an oiled boxing match? Like the fighters oil up with baby oil/coconut oil/KY or something like that pre-fight, before putting on the gloves and boxing? Seems like it could add an interesting dynamic to a boxing match. Would the oil cause punches that land to slide off & lesson the impact or increase chances of cuts (I imagine it wouldn’t since pros have vaseline applied to their faces between rounds).
