Making tournaments affordable

You didn’t post an article, just a google search. You contribute to this site; use your funds for a tournament instead of social media sites. I told you that you can work a table sometimes to compete for free at some events. Or you can make money working a table and pay for the next competition with that money. Or just make money some other way and use that to fund your hobby.

Tournaments don’t all cost a lot. NAGA Vegas is $80 if you sign up early. Just put 5 bucks in a jar every week and you’ll be able to do 3 NAGA tournaments a year.

when you do the search the article should pop up but if not let me know and will try to copy and paste it, length permitting. Cannot compete anyway now due rotator cuff issues and the out of pocket for the two procedures is $1350 (reason for gofundme link in my profile) but others have mentioned to me that the tourneys are also not affordable. But am sincerely hoping with successful treatments may be able to compete again if I can find one that I can afford. BJJ is everything to me. Will be talking again to my sensei on options available for those in my situation. I have even requested to learn refereeing once I reach the minimum belt level for that (purple). The following quote from a very famous sage is addressed to the many naysayers that I encounter on this site:"Judge not thy friend until thou standest in his place." I am well aware that if I came to your area that I would have no issue rolling with anyone safely at your dojo. I do all I can, have signed up to be staff at as many local tourneys as possible as the 24/7 bus service here allows to work anywhere in the Metro area. Thanks for your non prejudicial posts
