However, I have been down to 2 days a week the last couple due to bad hip and lower back arthritis. Of course it happens just after I get my blue belt lol.
While I am not n the mats as much recently I am focusing on active recovery and learning
I train in a average 4 dayd a week, sometimes 5, only taking Saturdays off. Open to training at home on Sundays, the first day of the week if anyone is willing as have mats at home. Our dojo has a Sunday am open mat and evening classes Monday theu Friday which I try to make.
3 or 4 trainings each weeks. Same as @PureContest :
I take care to tap early,
I never fight to anchor my grips (no more finger injuries)
I also take care about my opponents health (slowly cranking the submissions)
That’s a lot of mat time! I hate being injured and off mats, real bummer. I cut down on my intensity, quit trying to spazz out of things like us white belts do, tap early and often, check my ego - and that’s helped me a lot. Still sore AF all the time though!
Yeah haha my body had a lot of trouble keeping up. I would work one night on my feet all day, then the next day I'd train in the morning, workout or train in the afternoon, then train again at night
What’s your training frequency? I go 4-5 times a week 😅 I don’t have kids or a partner, so I guess that helps! Just curious what my BJJ homies on here are doing. 🤔 😎
