One thing you need to consider is your mat type, if they contain rubber over time the oil will break the rubber down and the mats will start to crumble, so you may want to cover them in a plastic tarpaulin. If you've done an oil match in a jock, you'll know what Im talking about as the rubber elastic in them frays after a couple of matches, even when washed.

Sorry forgot to mention this just applies to baby oil, not sure if organic like coconut or olive oil do the same.
