Synchronized Sets With hot dude

I just got back from the gym and I can’t stop thinking about the guy who was working out right behind me. I was finishing my session with some dumbbell shoulder exercises, and a man around 40, solid and fit without being overly shredded, kind of with a cop vibe, set up just behind me to do his bench press.


Our sets were perfectly synchronized, and I could see him struggling, giving it everything he had to squeeze out more reps and push himself further, which motivated me to push harder too. On top of that, his slightly too-short T-shirt revealed his lower stomach when he was lying down doing his reps.


I’m grateful for what I got to witness and for the motivation he gave me during my workout without even realizing it. He really looked like the perfect coach, but I was too shy to suggest we train together, especially since he was there with someone else.


P.S. The guy was way sexier than in the AI photo, but I couldn’t manage to do any better

Coincidentally, I had a similar experience today! I had ZERO motivation to workout but forced myself to do at least 30 minutes on the treadmill at our apartment's fitness center. When I arrived, only one other guy was there - - a younger guy (mid-20s), dark hair, and (as you described) very fit but not overly muscular - - doing a full body workout with free weights. Watching him motivated me to stay for about an hour and to copy his workout.

I had a similar experience at a late night adult swimming session.
The guy was similar build to me . He was dark and quite hairy Vs my fair and smooth. When we got changed in the male communal changing room facing eachother across an change bench. Eventually, we both pull on black tight Speedos
Not a word was spoken but once the eyes met it was lustful aggression and testosterone behind each guys eyes. The communal shower allowed us to get a better look. I left the shower first and went to one end of the lanes pool. As I prepared to dive in I looked up to see my opponent at the opposite end of the pool, facing me in the next lane.
We both dove in and first raced towards eachother at full power. It was hard to see him but as we passed eachother for about half a second we were looking straight at eachother. With the same look guys get on the mat or ring.

Slanted overhead barbell press–excellent exercise for upper chest , lats, shoulders, pecs.
I have the benefit of having done lots of those, tho I sometimes now have to improvise with toes-on-bench pushups.
Yes, the admiring stare plus determined answering muscle display are great fuel for the primal physical competition
urge. Thanks for reminding me I'm not the only one.
