Ganymede vs Phaethon - Finale

Ganymede covered his head with his arms and fought with himself to keep from sobbing as pain shot through his body from Phaethon’s vicious kicks.  Each one drove the breath from his body and made his abdominal muscles ache horribly.  He was in trouble, and he could only hope that Phaethon would make a mistake to allow him to catch his breath.

And then the assault stopped.  Ganymede risked opening an eye, and couldn’t believe what he saw.  Phaethon was walking away from him.  He was walking toward Lord Zeus!  He thought that Ganymede was beaten!

Ganymede slowly got to his feet, even as Phaethon kept walking toward Lord Zeus, presenting himself as the victor to the king of the gods.

Not while I’m still drawing breath…

He staggered to where Phaethon was preening before Lord Zeus, fury building in him with every step.  Lord Zeus noticed him, and began to smile.  Ganymede smiled back – but his smile was not as pleasant.

Phaethon hadn’t noticed him.

Ganymede clasped his hands together….raised them above his head…..

And slammed them down on the back of Phaethon’s head!

Phaethon sank to his knees, holding his head with one hand, and Ganymede glanced up at Lord Zeus.  His eyes, fierce and cold, asked a question.  Lord Zeus, his smile growing even wider, nodded.

Ganymede strode around Phaethon to stand in front of him, then reached down and grabbed him by the hair, forcing him upright.  His knee lashed out and caught Phaethon squarely in the face, and only Ganymede’s hold on his hair kept Phaethon from collapsing backwards.  Ganymede clenched his free hand into a fist and drove it into Phaethon’s face once, twice, three times – smiling at the third time opened a cut on Phaethon’s cheek.

Ganymede’s hands wrapped around his enemy’s throat and he began to squeeze, an insane glee twisting his features into a cruel smile.  Phaethon’s eyes opened wide, and he tried to pull Ganymede’s hands off of him, but Ganymede’s smile just got crueler, and he squeezed even harder.

Phaethon’s eyes widened in panic and he reached up to claw at Ganymede’s face, but Ganymede barely felt it as Phaethon’s nails clawed angry red gashes into his cheeks.  He squeezed and he squeezed and he squeezed until he felt Phaethon’s struggles get weaker and weaker.  The other youth’s arms dropped to his sides, and then his eyes rolled into the back of his head.

“RELEASE HIM!”

Ganymede would have held on regardless, but Lord Zeus’ thunderous voice echoed throughout the arena, and when Lord Zeus commanded, Lord Zeus was to be obeyed.  With a great deal of reluctance, Ganymede released his grip on Phaethon’s throat and allowed his enemy to collapse into the sand, unconscious.  He stepped backwards a pace as Lord Apollo leaped from outside the circle and sprinted for his fallen son.

“Approach me, Ganymede,” Lord Zeus commanded.  Ganymede walked, a little unsteadily, to the king of the gods, who had risen from his throne.  The Lord of Olympus was clearly pleased, from the look on his face and the state of his arousal.  Ganymede, on the other hand, was simply exhausted.  Even the brief fight had taken much out of him.

He reached Lord Zeus and knelt; immediately, Lord Zeus laid a hand on Ganymede’s bowed head.  The exhaustion vanished, and Ganymede felt waves of new strength flooding throw his body.  The pain in his face from where Phaethon had blooded him disappeared without a trace, and he felt himself beginning to rise as the king of the gods’ hand drew a lazy finger down his cheek before cupping his chin and lifting Ganymede’s head.

Lord Zeus, still smiling, said, “An excellent contest, Ganymede.  You proved yourself worthy to still bear my cup.”

“I will bear, my lord,” Ganymede said, “anything you wish me to bear.”

Lord Zeus’ smile became even broader.  “Rise, Ganymede,” he said, “and let us retire.”

Ganymede climbed to his feet.  Lord Zeus’ hand remained on his chin, and as Ganymede stood, he bent over and gave the youth a long, lingering kiss.  Warmth flooded through Ganymede’s body and he almost erupted where he stood, but his experience as Lord Zeus’ cup bearer kept him in control.

Still smiling, Lord Zeus put his arm around Ganymede’s shoulders and led him from the arena.  Ganymede did not dare look behind him, but he could feel the eyes of the assembled gods on him.  Perhaps they were disapproving.  Perhaps they were envious of Lord Zeus.  Ganymede didn’t know.

And later, with Lord Zeus inside him, he didn’t care.
