The Wrestlefest EU Campaign I’ll Never Put in My Portfolio

The most successful campaign I ran this year is unfortunately also the one I probably can’t put in my professional portfolio 😊

On March 10th, exactly two months before WrestleFest.EU opened, we started with almost zero online presence. Outside of MF and people already inside the scene, we were basically Berlin’s best kept secret.

What we did have was an amazing base of supporters from the first WrestleFest, and from there we started building.

With a lot of help from friends, the WrestleFest crews from NYC and Toronto, WatchFighters, content creators from around the world, and countless shares from the community, we managed to grow from literally zero to more than 100,000 views in just two months.

Our brand new Instagram account reached over 10,000 accounts, and I’m pretty sure many of those people had never heard about MF, gay wrestling fetish, or WrestleFest before.

But honestly, the biggest challenge wasn’t numbers. It was explaining what WrestleFest actually is.

This is not a professional tournament.
Not a highly competitive sports event.
Not an exclusive sports club.

At the end of the day, we’re just gay/queer guys who enjoy wrestling, boxing, grappling, rolling around on mats, meeting new people, and building a weird little international community together.

And somehow, that message connected.

The work is definitely not done. Honestly, it feels like it only just began. But we created a really strong foundation for 2027.

This was only the second WrestleFest.EU ever, and every year it becomes bigger, more organized, more international, and more welcoming.

What makes me happiest is that this project is run by almost 20 people who are doing this mostly for pure passion and fun. Nobody is getting rich from this. People invest insane amounts of time simply because they believe this space should exist.

That’s honestly the most beautiful part behind all of it.

This project honestly wouldn’t have become what it is without the people behind it. Huge thank you to SlovakLeo, the man with the dream who really started rolling this rock.

To GuidingLight and Cybertron, our seconds in command.

To MassDave, our team massage therapist and an amazing team player.
To Daniel1 for all the writing and information work.
To leanmachine94 from WrestleFest Toronto for all the generous support.
ToBaba Sultan who managed the whole content creators team behind the event.
To Harshi, who completely refreshed the website.
To Akiboy and TaylorY, our devoted conductors.

And of course to all the others who gave a hand, shared, supported, reposted, helped organize, welcomed people and helped make this weird little project become something real. Lots of love ❤ see you next year

That's so cool, I'm happy to hear that. On our Instagram, Santiago Sandoval talks about his experience after attending both wrestlefest in Berlin. It's really worth watching
