🖤 WrestleFest UK – Open Mat Rules

1. No sexual activity on the mats

WrestleFest UK is a recreational grappling event. The mats are for wrestling only.
Keep it respectful, keep it appropriate.

2. Appropriate attire is required at all times

Clothing must:

Fully cover the groin and glute area
Be secure and suitable for grappling

No exposed areas, no “wardrobe malfunctions”, no exceptions.

3. Hygiene is non-negotiable
Arrive clean
Fresh gear only
No strong odours
Trimmed nails

If in doubt - shower again.

4. No contagious conditions

Do not participate if you have:

Skin infections
Rashes
Open wounds

This protects everyone on the mats.

5. All participation is consensual
Ask before engaging
Respect refusals
Anyone can stop at any time

6. Respect the tap

Tap = immediate release
Verbal stop = immediate release

7. No striking or dangerous techniques

No punches, kicks, elbows, or knees - unless agreed
No slams, spikes, or uncontrolled throws
Keep everything controlled and safe

8. Stay within your limits

No ego wrestling
No overpowering beginners
No reckless behaviour

9. No intoxicated participation

Anyone under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol will not be allowed on the mats.

10. Follow Henchmen/Enforcer instructions

Event staff (Henchmen/Enforcers/Court Master) are there for safety.
If they step in, you listen.

11. Respect the space and each other

No harassment
No unwanted behaviour
No disruptive conduct

Wrestle hard. Stay respectful. Leave a with good impression, not a bad reputation.
