Wear compression underwear plus spats. I have spats on under my gi all the time - I just like that barrier further preventing skin to skin contact and it helps with this issue. When rolling, do not think “I’m rolling with Joe.” Instead, notice positioning. “He is leaning too far forward. He can’t post his right arm now so I should sweep that way. I can force a scramble here.” Right now, he’s an opponent and a problem to solve. You can bond with him later when you’re both putting your sneakers back on.
Furthermore, I believe its normal to get boners when you fight. It happens a lot with mma fighters. Ive already noticed that some guys had boners while rolling with me. Its natural and could be related to seek of dominance.
I don't think it's forbidden under all tournament rules, maybe ibjjf, and they wear one for mma but I agree that you don't have to go that far nor do I think wearing a cup is all that safe for your boys for wrestling
Like other people have said: wear a cup, restrictive underwear, etc.
I think when I first started, I made sure to avoid rolling or working with anyone I found attractive because I was too scared I'd get hard. I do my best to keep those thoughts out of the gym, and now the mats are a space where I can ignore pretty much everything besides trying to win. So my best advice: avoid the hot guys, but focus on rolling and learning. When you get good enough to know what you're doing, there's rarely time to think about getting hard.
First of all, you're male and getting boners comes with the body. Focusing on the sport and techniques should help. I find I'm more prone to boners in no-gi and if that's where it's happening I may focus on gi only classes for a while so you can get used to being there to learn. If no one has mentioned it, they also probably haven't noticed. The best thing really is to just ignore it.
Currently, I go to a bjj club at my university. I think it's pretty fun so far and I am actually starting to learn and grow from the experiences there! But, I keep getting boners during rolling. It's weird and embarrassing, and I feel like people think I'm weird for it. Any pointers?

Tive um colega que quando ficava de cueca todos notavam a situação.
O treinador pediu que ele passasse a trocar de roupa no box!

If you are too busy pumping your muscles, you won't have enough blood for your dick.

12/31/2025 5:17 AMYou may also opt for more restrictive underwear so things are more kept in place.
