A very rough year so far

2026 was to bring new opportunities to travel and meet new wrestlers.  But that hasn't happened.

In February, right before the Super Bowl, my good friend passed away.

In April was my Ill-fated trip to Los Angeles.  My accounts were stolen and compromised, my brand new cell phone died.  I had no way to contact anyone.

Then, two days after Mother's Day.   The worse possible thing happened.   My mother tragically passed away.

2026 is half over, but at this rate it may as well be a distant memory for me.   Too many losses (including a co-worker, and of courese my friend Darrius), bad things.  I need a break.

Let's hope that it gets better.

Mate, whatever I say should be considered with the thought, we all grieve differently. There is no right nor wrong way to grieve.
I felt kinship with you as I have had a couple of years of hell myself.
Started with me sat eating breakfast watching TV one morning with my man. He coughed twice then died in front of me.
Then things got worse.
Actually, thinking back it started two or so years before on the day after I cremated my mum.
I had to go and pick my man up from an elders home where he had been sent, without a thought, after recovering from COVID in hospital. He spent his few weeks in the home begging to go back to his apartment and fighting with the other patients in frustration. Often calling me at midnight or so in desperation. Crushing me as I grieved for my mum and could do nothing.
I bust him out of that home, where even the manager said he wasn't fitting in, the day after my mum's cremation.
I then spent the next two or so years caring with his deteriorating health due to Alzheimer's, a facial tumour and other matters with 247 care with no respite for either of us.
I was broken emotionally, physically and financially by the time he died in front of me.
Then things got worse.
I'm just giving a flavour of things here and I'm certainly I'm not poor me.
Suffice it to say that all good things must come to an end. All bad things do too. Just not as quickly ;-)
Keep on keeping on mate!
