You may have noticed that the internet has become a very noisy place. Attention is a scarce resource, and competing for it can be challenging, especially when you are competing in the same space as mega-corporations with huge marketing budgets. The voice of a small site like MeetFighters can easily get drowned out in the noise. 

This is where you come in! Become our Ambassador by sharing your love for fighting, and by extension, for MeetFighters. By sharing your passion for fighting and our site, you can help us reach more people who share the same interests. Use your mighty voice to help us grow! This benefits you as well. So what's in it for you? Besides the warm and fuzzy of helping a community grow, we are also happy to introduce the MeetFighters Ambassador Program!

• To become an Ambassador, tell people who sign up to let MeetFighters know that you referred them. (They can do that by entering your username in the referral field during sign-up or by mentioning you in a message to us.)
• Reach 10 referrals, and you will receive a special "Voice of MeetFighters" badge on your profile.
• Reach the most referrals in each quarter, and you will become the "Ambassador of MeetFighters" for the next quarter. This comes with a special badge and a shoutout on our social media channels (which we don't have yet, but if you are good at managing these, reach out to us!) You will also get to pick an item from our merchandise store for free, and get free contributor membership for a year!
• Become our Ambassador again by maintaining the highest referral count in subsequent quarters, and we will bury you under our love and appreciation! (Actually we haven't yet figured out what the reward will be for repeat Ambassadors, but we promise it will be good!)

Group Messages: Now Even Better

A big thank you to everyone who attended and organised WrestleFest NYC; You put our group messaging feature through its paces as a real-world stress test, and the feedback was gold. Many of the improvements were already quietly pushed; today we're rolling out the rest:

• Mute groups: silence the chatter when you need to focus on your next match
• Pin conversations: keep the important stuff at the top
• Reply to messages: finally, proper threaded replies
• More context options: open profiles directly from within a conversation
• Secure group invite links: group admins can now share a link to invite new members safely
  
  

Video Update

Our video service has just received an update. The core concept (you can upload a short video to embellish your profile) remains unchanged. Under the hood, we have introduced a more modern video codec to improve video quality and reduce file sizes, allowing for smoother playback. Additionally, videos are now displayed more prominently on the "What's new?" page. Otherwise, the upload process remains the same and other than a bump in quality, you won't notice any difference.

Release

Both the group message improvements and profile sharing are available on the website right now.
App version 3.8 is currently being reviewed by Apple and Google and will bring the group message features to the app.
App version 3.9 will follow shortly after, bringing the profile sharing feature to the app. In the meantime, you can use this feature via the website link.
