Documentary Project in Berlin
Hey everyone,
Relative newcomer to the wrestling scene Samuel has reached out to us at MeetFighters with an exciting proposal: he is planning to shoot a documentary (fully supported and backed by his university) about gay wrestling culture in Berlin.
He aims to explore what fulfills participants about this contact sport and why it holds significance in their everyday lives. Samuel already got his feet wet at Fight Club Berlin this October, ''and now he wants more!''
For this project, Samuel is cooperating with the organizers of Fight Club Berlin and Böse Buben e.V., and filming will take place on the afternoon of 27th of November, 2026. This is going to be a special extra Fight Club session with volunteers, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable with the camera presence. He is looking for volunteers to participate!
For those who have been there before, the event will stay very similar to usual: you can move around freely, there will be a bar and two mat rooms for fighting, only the film crew will be there too. They will cover your entry to the official Fight Club party afterwards.
The film will be about 30 minutes long. Usually it's then shown at various film festivals, but some time will pass before that.
To summarize:
- Where: Böse Buben e.V. in Berlin, Sachsendamm 76 (Germany)
- Why: To bring awareness to our community, sport, and the gay wrestling culture!
- Who: Samuel - Any questions? Just reach out to him.
- When: 27th November 2026, from approx. 14:00 to 19:00
- Bonus: Free entrance to the 57th FIGHT CLUB BERLIN approx. 20:00 to 03:00

Stay safe and spread our awareness,

22 minutes agoAs long as it paints this community in a better light than the Vice documentary from a few years back, then this is a good idea.

Exactly this. The Vice documentary was clearly intended to show as a parody, which is unfortunate. That said, it's old enough where it's probably no longer the top search finding.
