All the Matches you Need
It's hard to believe that there's only 110 days left until a new year.
Have you gotten all the matches you wanted in 2026?
Are you satisfied with your wrestling progress?
What are you planning to do to improve your matches or match outcomes before the end of the year?

9/13/2026 2:01 PM1) Can you ever have enough matches?
2) I’m still training BJJ and even trying to pickup pro style and catch wrestling moves. While submission is my game I’m trying to be more “cooperative” and fun in my matches.
3) How to improve? Continue training… but also taking a break from chasing opponents. Focusing on mental and physical health to be better and ready for future challenges.

9/13/2026 3:47 PMUnfortunately not. It seems I’m too old for wrestling in my city, Magdeburg – at least none of the clubs have replied to me.
I did grappling for a few months, but most people there have been doing it for years. It’s hard to become part of the group, and there’s nobody for open mat sessions either. So no, this year it’s just the gym for me. The rest will probably have to wait.

9/13/2026 5:15 PMHa i had some good matches but for sure can be more. But with my own mats it's easier to host in my own place.

9/14/2026 8:35 PM110: no exaggeration, but that's likely going to be the number of opponents I'll encounter THIS YEAR.
I'm incredibly fortunate to be able to travel and take my work on the road, meeting and connecting with buddies, rivals and friends quite literally around the world. On some levels, it's never enough, and that's a good thing. A lot of satisfaction/progress comes from facing off against such a diverse field of opponents.
My advice: for peace of mind, maintain your standards. Integrity is everything. Rarely do I encounter flakes or head cases. I take my time to build a comfort zone with each opponent – and sometimes we get there FAST. Getting to know someone always takes matches to the next level.
