I met Squashlad at the International Wrestling Camp Berlin. He is really strong and has a great attitude for wrestling. It was not only a pleasure to coach him but also to wrestle with him because he does not give easily and made me really work to defend.

Also off the mat he is a very nice, friendly and laid back guy, so I am looking forward to meet him again!

Great guy. Had a blast. He's not just into posing and flexing, he has skill and strength. Would wrestle him again for sure.

Boxer Saarland is skilled and very good coach to learn boxing.
I received good advices to upgrades my knowledges.
The gutpunching session was rough but great.

The Mackem met the Geordie and they enjoyed each others company is a bit of a letdown from this rivals grudge match.

Steve is a great lad with poor taste in football teams. More fit and muscled than me and we had a good submission bout with subs both sides, as well as a blast in the ring.

Great to christen the new Walthamstow mats and ring too. Nice facility for those in London.

Strong upper body on Steve and he doesnt sub easily. Thought I would test his legs out with some leg stretches and they held up well!

13-16/05/2016: "Wrestler Berlin" is quite a modest name for a supercoach. You want four days of very high quality freestyle wrestling coaching delivered in an engaging and fun way to a large group of wrestlers of varied experience, weight class, age and language? No problem. You want that delivered in both German and English? Sure. How about in French? Pas de problème. In Italian? Certo. How about doing that with a cheery smile throughout each and every session, even when asked "So what was that 'crossface' thing again?" for the twentieth time? A pleasure apparently. How about doing that while running a 4-day all-day residential event for 55 people? No bother. Wow.... So you'd think that the open-mat sessions would then be an opportunity to just sit down for a bit, but no, if you want a wrestle he'll be on the mats coaching you while taking you down, giving you handy tips while pinning you, pointing out where you went wrong while disposing of your attempts to take control without breaking a sweat. OK, but if he's this talented, he must at least be a bit of a tosser? Well no actually, he's just as nice a guy when he is finally relaxing, just as happy to share a beer and a laugh with newcomers and the shy as he is with his longstanding friends from the previous 15 training camps. As well as being a very impressive wrestler and coach, Wrestler Berlin is one of life's nice guys and is very highly recommended. Thanks heaps.
short version: You have to admire a guy who can make funny smutty jokes in his third language while in a headlock!

13-16/05/2016: After chatting here on MeetFighters it was great to finally meet, train with and wrestle madridluchador at the excellent 16th International Wrestlers' Camp in Lindow (Mark). He's an enthusiastic and passionate guy, keen to improve and perfect his technique, which made training with him an absolute pleasure, and he held his own in our open-mat bouts despite my extra bulk. Off the mats he's a very friendly, cheerful and outgoing guy, interesting to talk to and good fun to have a Schwarzbier with. Hopefully our paths will cross again before the 17th training camp. Very highly recommended.

25/05/2015: Had a grapple with andreawrestling in one of the open mat sessions at the fantastic International Wrestlers' Camp in Lindow (Mark). His wariness of my extra bulk (not unreasonable given that he'd been able to observe my lazy habit of just lying on top of smaller guys while trying to work out how to turn them over) meant that I was largely able to hold my own against him, but the skill advantage lay with him and he was obviously among the most talented guys in our beginners'/early intermediate class at the camp and is going to be a formidable wrestler (especially as he joined as enthusiastically in the submission grappling classes as the freestyle ones). A really nice, friendly, sociable guy and I hope our wrestling paths cross onto the same mat again.
13-16/05/2016: A trip to Manchester for us both in the interim, but on the mats it took the Lindow training camp to come around again before I got another couple of wrestles in with andreawrestling. As with last year he remained among the most naturally talented and strong guys in our class and in both of our open-mat bouts was able to take me down, despite my height advantage, and (with a bit of in-match coaching!) to get the pin both times. A lovely friendly personable guy off the mats too. Very highly recommended.

Met Manc21 finally, after much communication (so we both had a good idea what sort of bout we'd be having) : I have to say, for a smaller guy he has an awesome amount of power in those very sexy hairy legs: I was caught off guard many times in his deceptively lethal head scissors. I reciprocated, of course, and let him feel a little of my power….. but not at 100% for fear of having to explain to the hotel why I had a KO'd body in my room. Just joking, of course…. this was a highly anticipated bout, and did not disappoint in any way: he's a handsome, cool and very interesting guy, both in "wrestle" & "normal" mode: a pleasure to spend time with him….. highly recommended…. and be warned…. his hairy pythons CAN be lethal. Looking forward to round 2….. and 3….

A total stud! Extremely chill and friendly but a bad ass when wrestling. Has a big arsenal of moves and knows how to use them. If you're into pro, definitely meet this guy.

NCJockstrap is a handsome strong man...we went at it a long time...very strong with scissorholds and headscissors. looking forward to a rematch with this stud!
