What a legend!

I was lucky enough to meet Centaur at a BJJ event in London where he took time out to roll with me and pass on some of his considerable grappling experience, even though I was a complete and hesitant newbie!

He's just absolutely the friendliest guy on and off the mats. Don't let that fool you though, on the mats, he is clearly extremely skilled and a beast! Grappling with him gave a great opportunity for an intense roll that remained fun and even hilarious at times! Absolutely fantastic vibe.

He obviously works out as well - so his strength is considerable. Don't let let him get grips 😅 he's like a vice lol. Probably best to stay away from his guard too 😅 lol...

Can't wait to face off against him in the future again to learn more, laugh some more, and hopefully I'll know more to pit up more fight!

Strongly recommend you take up any opportunity to grapple with him!

He came down for a day and we had a blast submission grappling, chilling, chatting about some shared hobbies and then grabbed some food together before he had to head off.

Super easy to arrange a meet with, really friendly, a pleasure to get to know, great to chat to as he is equal parts hilarious and insightful, and his skill makes him great for newer grapplers like me to roll with safely.

We had hoped to have time for more, but it just absolutely flew by. A thoroughly enjoyable day with a fantastic guy whom I'm honoured to call a great friend!

After speaking for a couple of weeks we had our meet up. Despite the size difference he didn't give up and put up quite a good fight. It was fun exchanging some holds. Off the mats he's a super nice guy, very easy to talk to in person and he has a nice smile. If you're passing through or he hits you up accept the challenge, you won't regret it. Had a really fun match with this strong jobber. Even though he’s still learning, he’s already got plenty of power and knows how to make it a great time. Super fun and friendly, easy to get along with, and safe. He took everything I threw at him and kept coming back with good energy even through he struggled with joy. Definitely recommend him if you want a tough but playful roll, and I’d be happy to meet up again anytime

Mikey and I gave him the nickname “president” because he was the one who brought us into MF and made us part of the circle.

What can I say? Michael is full of energy and truly thrives on this kind of exchange—especially when it comes to a good gut punch. He’s without a doubt a formidable opponent.

Off the mat, he’s incredibly easygoing—warm, approachable, and always up for a great conversation. That’s one of the many reasons why he’s earned so much respect from his peers.

Finally met up with Ben after months of chatting in MF.

I really admire his passion for this community. He’s constantly meeting new people and even willing to travel just to “connect.” . haha, that’s dedication!

On the mat, he truly enjoys what he does. Off the mat, he’s the kind of guy you can have endless conversations with.
