An absolute tank. We had been talking about locking up for awhile and when we did, it was a match worth waiting for. As soon as we bumped chests, we were locked up in a rough, sweaty, bear on bear match going at it for hours.
Great host, great space, and a great time.

Wow. What a fighter! He is huge! And he doesn’t realise how strong he is. He has some of the biggest biceps I have ever seen! And he is a very rough fighter. There are no rules with this guy….

He is also a real gentleman and great guy.

It was hot! He has so much power, it was a very intense and sweaty fight. I like it very much and hope for a rematch soon.

John and I had our second meeting recently in the privacy of a Travelodge room nearly ten years after the first one. He's a much better wrestler than me and I was still taking things very easy after a shoulder injury so it was more of a fun roll about. John is still in remarkably good shape and little changed since our first meeting.
Recommended.

excellent match, great strength, combined with his desire to win, he took the match to another level, very formal and a true gentleman, recommended as an opponent and an excellent person.

Met ayrshirewrestle on his trip down to Bristol. Very easy to arrange a meet and discuss the details of the match. He was very friendly and hospitable making me very welcome and had everything prepared for when I arrived.
He's a good wrestler, knows how to be competitive but keeping it safe and sensible. A good knowledge of submission holds, switch off or make a mistake and he will have you. Had a good energy throughout and looks really good in his gear of which he had a nice selection. We wrestled in sports kit and speedos and he looked good in all of it.
At the end and at my request he brought down his Scottish flag trunks for a match against my English flag ones and he ramped up his competitiveness for it.
As to who won that one - we both did :)

Was a total pleasure to meet, very easy to arrange and discuss the type of match. Stripping down to his trunks, he looked amazing and then set about destroying me pin after pin with subs thrown in. He has a vast knowledge of holds but tailored the match to my style which was really nice.
A very dominant heel forcing me to spend nearly all the match pinned on my back with zero chance of escape. We engaged in some role play in which he's almost too good at...
Thoroughly recommend to all, but especially lightweights like me who like to be totally outclassed in a wrestle.
Also a really nice guy and great to talk to, shame I ran out of time as could have just talked to him for longer.

Chi mi conosce un po' lo sa, beh...a me piace molto scherzare e provocare e dopo un inizio di studio, beh ho iniziato a testare questo ragazzone, con il quale ho chattato e scambiato vari messaggi prima di arrivare all'incontro. Le premesse mi avevano reso "affamato": il giusto mix di ironia e gioco.
Ben piazzato, non si è tirato mai indietro, ha incassato, ha replicato, sebbene, io, non ci sia andato troppo leggero..., anzi...chop, camel, scissors, "wickedness"...tutto...E' più forte di quanto lui stesso pensi, soprattutto i suoi "abbracci", si sono fatti sentire ed ha saputo immobilizzarmi per bene...E' stata una lotta appassionante e "breathtaking", è stato molto bravo a far emergere il mio lato "peggiore", indice, di capacità di calarsi nella situazione e nel momento, con me. Sebbene si trovasse a volte in difficoltà è stato molto bravo a reagire e a mettere me in difficoltà. Mi sono divertito, sì, parecchio.
Sulla persona, beh, dico solo una cosa: un grande piacere conoscerlo. That's All
