Wrestlefest EU in Berlin gave me the opportunity to meet some great lads and Edu was definitely one of them. He actually was the “soul & joy of the party”, in my opinion. Super friendly and loveable with everybody. Always keen to jump on the mats and take on any opponents. Very skilled. Super adaptable and flexible towards many different styles, from very technical to playful and funny. I honestly had a blast with Edu, would gladly meet him again any time and would definitely highly recommend him!! :)

Bulgaria has a reputation for producing excellent wrestlers, and this guy is clear proof of that. We met on the fringes of Wrestle Fest Berlin, and he is strong and skilled and was a very tough guy to wrestle. But he's always safe and sane and makes a match enjoyable for his opponent. He's also an interesting and smart guy to talk to. Overall a very positive experience with a nice guy and good wrestler.

After one of the smoothest attempts at planning a match, we met at his place and hung out as old friends for a while, before the time came to change on the mats. Armed with just singlets and thongs, we went at each other and it wasn't long before the mattress was soaked in sweat. Although it was a lopsided match in my favour, this man can certainly take a beating and is very flexible, while the role playing (which included many lifts and poses) exceeded expectations with layers being removed at just the right time that culminated in a steamy conclusion. An experience not to miss!

While I appreciate several different kinds of personalities and fighting styles, I have a special admiration for the kind of guys who are so humble and calm in real life, feeling like old friends you'd share a beer with, as much as they're provocative and determined on the mats, somehow able to find their way into their opponent's mind.
After having a couple of rolls with Roi on the open mats at Wrestlefest in Berlin, I can confirm he's the perfect ambassador for this category.
Watch out if you feel like going competitive: beside obviously being fit, he's got really good instincts and great positional awareness. All while keeping it safe and respectful all the time.
Loved to watch him fight other guys as well, often coming out on top and playing with them, sometimes even sitting and playfully flexing on them.
A natural heel that I hope to turn into a jobber in our next roll!

In the match after our match I could observe how Baba Sultan is able to adapt and go easy with less experienced guys and is a wonderful safe opponent and even teacher for them....
...however, during our communication about the match we would have I accidentally mentioned that I am a purple belt in BJJ, and well, Baba Sultan can also adapt to that and showed me who´s the boss;-)

But he made at every point sure to stay safe and within my limits while he wiped the floor with me and ramped himself up to - hm, I´d like to say "up to eleven", but that would be an insult because I am confident he had way more gas in the tank and while he brought me to (but as I said: not across!) my limits, I doubt I brought him even near to his limits.

I hope to see and fight this gorgeous statue of a man again and am curious to find out what kind of match we would have then.

WrestlefestEU was an event that made dreams come true...

The first match I had with SePH14 was NoGi and we had such a beautiful flow on the mats, when I saw hime in his gi at another openmat session I had to organize a gi for myself to see if a BJJ match with SePH14 would be as good as our grappling match was, and it got even better. While I am a NoGi player and do not really like the gi usually, this match changed my whole perspective: For the first time I really loved to roll in the gi!

Thank you for (re?)vigurating my love for the gi and I can´t wait to have another match with you - in any gear you want.

I had an great match with Dynamo. He is very strong and knowledgeable. He is a skilled wrestler that put me through my paces. He was very friendly and accomodating as well. I definitely recommended him and hope that I get to wrestle him again..

It was my luck that I had a match with JuanFTL at the more relaxed afternoon openmats at WrestlefestEU25 because we could take our time for our match - and we could take our time after the match too, which allowed him to explain to me some details about the Anaconda choke he used to tap me:-)
I enjoyed applying what he taught me in a later match during Wrestlefest and it worked! Thank you, JuanFTL, and I hope for another match and more insights:-)

I met wrestler dj at Berlin Wrestlefest and he was one of my first wrestling partners for the whole event. He is a strong grappler and great skills, and is very friendly and charming too. He gave me a challenging match and even with his size advantage, he was safe and considerate the whole time. I enjoyed wrestling him a lot and I highly recommend him.

I’m writing this in English even though Eldario did me the favor of speaking French with me during the wonderful time we spent together during WrestleFest. It involved several wrestles, both planned and impromptu, interspersed with wonderful conversations. Physically, he is tall, fit, and disarmingly gorgeous. He is also a gifted wrestler. Off the mats he is brilliant, kind, and engaging. I could happily spend even more time with him than we did and still want more! A la prochaine!
