You have enough (well earned) recommendations about your skill in BJJ so I don't need to go into that bit, but what I do want to write about, and highlight to your future opponents, is your ability to "read" your opponent. Here's what I mean: some guys will want to compete with you, others want to dominate you and yet others go back and forth. You seem to have had an uncanny ability bordering on telepathy, reacting to me and easing from our full-on competitive start into some very enjoyable back and forth domination.

Me daba miedo, encontrarme con él. Lo llamaban Indomable, y no era solo un nombre: era una advertencia. Su cuerpo era una arquitectura de músculo. Si pelear con un oso es complicado, con él mucho más.

Enfrentarlo fue como chocar con una muralla viva. Me zarandeó con la precisión de una boa que no necesita apurarse. Aunque lo inmovilizé un par de veces, estuve perdido desde el primer instante. Sudaba, jadeaba, me desgastaba entero intentando resistir aquella tormenta hecha carne.

Y sin embargo, en medio de la furia, descubrí algo más. Detrás de este gladiador de hierro, había un corazón de oro. Y un tío amable. No gané. Pero aprendí. Probé mi fuerza. Toqué mis límites. Y entendí que a veces perder contra alguien generoso e implacable es también una forma de victoria.

Ich hatte viel freude um Guardplayer kennenzulernen. Er hat mit mir die Stadt besichtigt und ich habe viel gelernt: Geschichte der Stadt, sein Lieblingsrestaurant, und warum er Guardplayer heist. Closed Guard ist seine Spezialität. Ich war oft verdammt zwischen seinen Beinen weil er ziemlich sich gewohren hat. Er ist ein stark und schnell Ringer - ich konnte ihn tap out dazu bringen, aufzuhören, bis wir beide erschöpft und verschwitzt waren. Sehr lustiger und harter Alter. Ich hoffe, dass wir mehr Revanchekampfe haben!

Zdjęcia nie oddają, ale jest to zawodnik posiadający siłę, zwinność i pewne doświadczenie wyniesione z Muay Thai. To wszystko sprawia, że jest świetnym parterem do walki. Zdecydowanie polecam, bo po zdobyciu przezeń większego doświadczenia będzie dużym wyzwaniem go pokonać! Równocześnie bardzo sympatyczny facet, można porozmawiać zdaniami złożonymi. Plus także za precyzyjne komunikowanie! :)

Opponent #31 on my cross-country wrestling saga. With every match, every challenger serves like a diary log. Every write-up becomes far more than the standard, "He was very communicative. We had a fun match."

I purposefully seek out mutual vibes. Not random matches, not trying to wrestle every guy on this site. No, it's about other men who – for whatever reason – align. What's the wrestle spark? Grapplegrunt is a good guy. Off the mats, he reminds me of me going through that time in life: working hard, and working hard to make changes. A time when wrestling anchors and provides an escape when weeks and months go by too fast, seemingly caught in a grind. A time when, after hours on the job and clocking out late, squeezing in a midnight match does a world of good.

Even though I had to be in Chicago Downtown at 6AM for another match and then 1PM for another-'nother match, we rolled from 1130PM-1AM+. Eager to job and never letting a moment go by to fill with conversation, grapplegrunt sported a gifted gray with side-strip trunks. He relaxed, eyes clenching and shocked mouth opening wide as when my thighs tightened around that torso and head ("G** damn, man, your legs...") . He chilled when I scooped up his jaw and whispered into his ear, back bent and arms draped over my knees. I think he slept well after. Grapplegrunt fought back hard, resisting and turning the tables... but sometimes, it's good to be a heel.

Studd and I have been chatting for years and we were finally able to connect while I was in PHL. Our match went back and forth. He’s strong, fun, and definitely worth wrestling. One of the nicest guys you will meet and great to talk with off the mats.
