17/02/24: It's a dedicated sort of tourist and festival goer who will head back to sleepy little New Zealand the year after having had his trip ruined by a cyclone, so it was the least that I could do, to go up to Napier to meet our intrepid visitor. And I am very pleased that I did. He is a little green as a wrestler as yet, but keen and interested, safe and controlled, and really quite startlingly strong. Guys 20 years younger would be delighted to be in such good shape. So we had a fun tussle, which he kindly hosted at his place in Westshore. He coped admirably with all my boring wrestling anecdotes, was himself an interesting guy to chat to, and was all-in-all just a pleasure to meet and wrestle. Highly recommended.

I feel very honoured that this charming Kiwi was willing to meet me in Napier during my visit to NZ. Squashlad is a very skilled and knowledgeable wrestler and easily got the better of me, which I’m not complaining about. He gave me some valuable tips which hopefully will help me in future matches. Thanks again for such a fun time and don’t forget to look me up when you’re in Oz. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed spending time on the mat with BigSkyMT - we both enjoyed leg wrestling / tanlging especially and I appreciated time we spent off the mat together as well. He was also very helpful with me filming another wrestler which was deeply appreciated. I can definitely recommend him for matches.

This Shark showed up and was ready to "prey."

Soon after the trunks went on, this man had me on my back in different variations of chokes, head locks, and crippling holds. He said before the fight began that he was a self-taught man. At this point in his wrestling career, I think he could be the teacher. Shark's a master at technical holds, finding opportunities, and edging on the hurt. I woke up the next morning sore… And craving more.

Plus, Shark might just win the award as Europe's best communicator on Meet Fighters. There's no childish games here: you'll always know where he stands. After our match, we showered and then enjoyed a beer and dinner together. Shark is a natural conversationalist (and easy on the eyes).

When in Frankfurt, don't pass up grappling with this Master!

We had a great time swapping holds. He’s strong and skilled, and setting up the meet was easy. Good communication, reasonable expectations, positive attitude. Great guy!

Wrestlewarrior is all heart. This site is what you make it, and I make it about vibing/connecting to buds far and wide. So does he. We go back to September of last year, even starting an interest group/chat room (check out "Smooth vs. Smooth Wrestlers" – over 100+ members and growing). He's my roomie for our first ever Wrestlefest – Toronto 2025.

So we finally met in person, immediately hanging out across Atlanta. Several matches in on our first day of a too-short three day weekend, we're rolling. Bear hugging. Body scissoring. Fighting. Resisting. Gotta watch the heat in the hotel room so we don't trip the automatic sprinklers...

If you're visiting Greater Atlanta (and Wrestlefest Canada 2025), connect with him. I'll do the same when he visits LA. Even then, it won't ever be enough.

Had a great match with Ramesh today. Easy to communicate and set up a match with. He's very open-minded to learning new styles as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone and can't wait to roll with him again soon.

I had nice match with military couple. He was easy to communicate and set up match. The build up conversation leading upto match is great. He taught me basics of submission and I learnt a lot from him. He is mindful of others safety. He was open to trying new attires and new match including Indian style kushti. I would wrestle him anytime again in a heart beat. I highly recommend him.

This dude came in confident but was rapidly shown there are other strong guys out there. I think my biceps made a strong impression….😈
