The spontaneous meeting with Scrappyone was really good!
From his recommendations, I was prepared to meet a strong and experienced fighter, from whom I could learn a lot. And I wasn´t disappointed. He was impressively skilled and stronger than I expected from his pictures. It was so challenging to break his defence and didn´t manage to submit him even once! Most funny thing was, he started singing and whisteling while manipulating me, like beating me up for him was like going for a walk. But he was so friendly to teach me some moves and holds. Scrappyone is a friendly and helpul guy as well. He has interesting stories to tell and a good sense of humour. Meet him! :)

Had the great pleasure of meeting Pete yesterday. He is a real force of nature - one of the strongest guys I have met on this site - especially his upper body strength (he broke my half nelson with little effort). He kindly went through and taught me how to apply certain holds like the hand lock (which I had struggled with previously) and I had a great time and session with him. No only is Pete an exceptionally skilled, strong wrestler he is a lovely guy to boot - it was great to spend time. Can't recommend him highly enough. Thanks to Pete and I do hope to see him again (though hopefully I will offer more competition next time).

Glad that I decided to make the short and easy A-train ride from the WF hotels to NYMuds place to start off WrestleFest. Really had a great time giving Mud (both in this case) a try for the first time. NYMud was easy to set up a match with and very accommodating really having thought through the logistics and clean-up of a complicated set up. The match itself was challenging yet completely safe both due to the skill of NYMud and the limitations and fun of mud. I think the before and after pics really tell the tale. So if you are in town for the weekend or live here year round I would recommend you give this a try, your host will make sure you have a good time and your skin may come out better for it in the process. Mine did.

FreestyleWrestler is an absolutely incredible man, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment we met, it was clear that he is not only an extremely fit and powerful athlete but also one of the most friendly and welcoming people you could ever hope to encounter. Spending time with him was a privilege, and anyone who trains or wrestles with him will have an unforgettable experience.
What impressed me most was his sheer strength—he is far stronger than I am, yet he never made me feel discouraged. Instead, he took the time to teach me new techniques, demonstrating incredible patience and skill. His expertise in freestyle wrestling is undeniable, and I learned so much, from technical moves to match strategy. Every moment spent wrestling with him was an opportunity to improve, and I left feeling inspired.
Beyond the physical side, he is a genuinely great person. After our session, we spent time walking, talking, and appreciating nature. The balance of intensity and relaxation made the experience even more special. Watching birds and enjoying the scenery together added a unique, refreshing element.
It is rare to meet someone who is both a formidable athlete and a kind, engaging companion, but he embodies both effortlessly. I am truly grateful for our time together, leaving with not only improved wrestling skills but also deep appreciation for his kindness and generosity. He pushes you to be better while making you feel valued. If you ever get the chance to train or wrestle with him, take it—you will gain not only strength and skill but also a meaningful, memorable experience with an outstanding person.

Following plenty of online agro and planning, we met for a nighttime scrap. Our Celt/Roman rivalry made for interesting agro and fight. We planned for a rough, competitive fight and Newbi certainly was an aggressive, competitive, rough and strong fighter. When he has control, he is relentless and punishing.
Newbiwrest is highly recommended, especially for a rough, competitive scrap.

Mike was first up at the fest when I arrived in NYC,,,,I was so psyched for all the matches! Mike was a terrific beginning......Perfect, rock solid body, VERY muscular and strong,,,,quick. I assumed the weight diff would make him easy prey...WRONG ! I managed to get one submission, head scissors, as far as I remember,but he was a super tough guy to pin down or submit. Plus a great friendly personality, very good looking, right on time, and really intelligent. We've agreed to more bouts! I'll be back, dude, so watch out! lol

I met up with ManhattanMaulers at WrestleFest back in February and we had two very enjoyable wrestles together over the course of the weekend. He was very personable, and eager to make me (a newbie) feel comfortable and at ease. He even took time on Sunday to show me around Manhattan, and make sure I knew which trains to catch to get back to the airport for my return flight the next day. Hopefully, the beginning of a long friendship on and off the mats.

This was one of few matches I've had in a group/round-robin setting and I enjoyed it. A lot.

Wrestlefest kept this man busy, but I did manage to get one match with him and to say there will definitely be others (if he wishes) would be an understatement. He's fun, scrappy, and will absolutely manhandle you if you don't keep him in check.

Fortunately for me, I'm good at that :)

The gear upgrades were lovely but did not prevent him from being bent in several directions on an early friday morning. Looking forward to more of this as often as we can make it happen 💪🏾

Let's just say I passed with flying colors. 😈

Tycoonboy is a very strong, hairy, and sexy guy. On the mats he is an unstoppable juggernaut to where I got tossed around like a ragdoll. Off the mats he is down to earth, great guy to conversate, and awesome Gentleman who I look forward to rematching and hanging out with in the future next time I'm in NYC. Definitely take him I highly recommend him. Thank you again for an awesome match

Had a great time locking up with Synxiec. He goes out of his way to ensure all parties have fun and will ask many questions about your experiences and match preferences. He will then adjust based on your answers which I found to be very helpful.

Once the match started “Mr. Nice Guy” took a break and the beast came out. We had a round robin match and I had one of the best experiences I could ask for. While he meant business it was all done in fun and extremely safe. He knows how to push you to your limits in the best way possible. We will absolutely be having a rematch and this time I will ensure a different outcome!! 💪🏽 If he is in your area don’t pass up the chance to have a match. You won’t be disappointed!!!!

The gaming experience of Synxiec really came in handy as he was able to provide some solid design feedback. Just goes to show, there's no end to his skills.

Nothing like a good, friendly sparring session to kick off the weekend right! Can't wait to map out the next one. The more fun and gaming we can mix into these, the better. Outside of the mats we had a blast as well! So make sure you take on this challenge with him when you have the chance.
