Recommendations

Never thought of running a Marathon (26.2 miles), much less done one! Marathon runners to me are a race apart. Iron men. Probably privately contemptuous of lesser mortals like myself. Plus he was American, my most humbling wrestling experiences had taken place at the hand of American wrestlers. Nat is taller, probably better stamina than moi, those long wiry, limbs would no doubt apply sharply painful submissions, with murderous efficiency . Finally he is a Regular Marathon Runner (gulps)!
We discussed this, Nat was at pains to stress he wanted a fun match rather than a competitive one. Ha I thought that old trick, lulling a victim into a false sense of security. Indeed a previous opponent in a recommendation called him a sly fox. However a mutual past opponent reassurred me Nat was as lovely guy who would wrestle at my level.
Finally met at Pippas yesterday I saw a tall, lean, patrician like man, ruggedly handsome, bit of a movie star look, Lee Marvin, with a dash of Clint Eastwood. Would look good in a stetson with well cut jeans enhancing the long legs & a blue checked shirt, at home on the range . Looks equally good in speedos!
Was immediately struck by his warmth, kind eyes and friendliness.
We squared off in the ring, neither of us felt like a brawl, traded holds, a lot of the time we just happily chatted and joked. Was impressed by his strength and skill. The time went too fast. afterwards I had 2hour journey but felt on a high, didn't get to sleep till 2am.
One of my most enjoyable meets ever. But somehow haven't quite found the words to describe how much fun it was! Hope we do it again. Def recommended . A true gentleman.

I met this lovely chap for a wrestle. Friendly, easygoing, and put up a good fight despite the size difference. I highly recommend this fighter and i would gladly schedule a future meet.

J'ai eu le plaisir de recevoir mikar à la maison pour une bonne séance se grappling/lutte soumission.

Sous son approche prudente, respectueuse et presque timide, il n'hésite pas à se prendre au jeu très rapidement. Bien que débutant, il apporte son énergie, son enthousiasme et sa bonne humeur sur les tatamis rendant la séance très agréable. Il s'appuie sur une bonne résistance, un bon cardio pour tenir sans problème un bon moment sur les tapis.

Il cherche à apprendre (et retient bien) en permanence tout en gardant sa fraîcheur dans le jeu.

Bref un réel plaisir de pratiquer avec mikar. Allez y sans réserve.

En dehors des tapis, une personne très agréable avec qui il est facile de partager des discussions, un repas, ...

Good meeting at the Bremen Open Mats, a man in super physical condition, who gave a good intense and technical fight, even if as his name indicates it's more of a stricker :-)

After a long time chatting, we finally managed to organise a match, and was it ever worth the wait! Off the mat he was easy going and approachable.

During the match he was equal parts safe and intense, which I really appreciated. As expected, he was tough, skilled, strong and almost as stubborn as me, and locked me in some impressive inescapable holds!
While he may have coaxed more taps out of me, I'd argue that in the end I came out victorious from this one, though he might not agree! I guess that just means a rematch will have to be on the cards to settle the score ;)

Highly recommend, and really hoping we see each other again soon!

After chatting on MF for a while, wresnipgym and I met for a very enjoyable give n take match and some very deep conversation. Wresnipgym is an intelligent guy and an absolute gentleman! I would highly recommend wresnipgym.

I had been looking forward to this match up, and I wasn't disappointed! We were well aware of the weight and height differential but this feisty wrestler came to the bout ready to give all he had. He is strong and resilient well muscled and tough! It was easy to fix things up and he reliable, safe and sane. Great chat off the mats too. If you get the chance, wrestle this man. 100% GOLD STAR Recommendation a first class opponent!

BartekK was a genuinely nice and kind guy who made arranging the match effortless. We had a fantastic time together both wrestling and talking. He’s really strong and experienced, so he shouldn’t be underestimated. Despite that, he was careful and knew my limits when on the mats.
