I already went into this match knowing GrappleVA's reputation as a seasoned brutal heel. We'd chatted about it for quite a while. He's just a bit sadistic, one might say. Sadistic, he WILL say. Even then, there was no way I could have prepared for GrappleVa's brutal beatdown. The chokes and body scissors, I expected. The camel clutch turned humiliating video chat with another wrestler, I shoulda seen coming. What I didn't see coming was his immense strength. When this man picked me up and threw me across his shoulders, making me watch myself wince in his painful torture rack, or inverted me entirely in the set-up of a body slam or piledriver, every single time, my mind was racing with thoughts of, "I'm about to get slammed so hard right now" and "where is all this power coming from??" If the lift and carries didn't open my eyes to that bit already, the tight leg vice grips around my torso and head got the message through loud and clear. When I'm on his mats, I'm his boy to toy with, and I'm not going anywhere until he's finished. He is not to be challenged once those roles are established, unless you're ready to accept the consequences he'll dish out. I won't be forgetting his lesson anytime soon.
