This man is an absolute powerhouse!! Had an epic time with Bowolverine. He is phenomenally strong, and his body is rock solid. 100% pure muscle. He is very skilled and good on the technical side, and enjoys a good flex off too (his double bicep is super impressive). Off the mats, he’s a thoroughly nice bloke, easy going, interesting to converse with, and very knowledgeable. I am grateful he gave me a few tips (which I hope to use against him in the future hehe). Happy to call him a mate and can’t wait to meet him again for another muscle rumble. Cheers for an amazing time Bowolverine.

Strong and fun to wrestle. Was a lot of fun to meet and take on! Hope to get him for another few rounds and see how we make each other work!

We had been chatting on and off for many years and I was very fortunate that ChokeHoldBear came over to Luxembourg and gave me this opportunity to have a match with what is probably the largest size difference I have ever experienced. Damn, I have felt small and lean before, but that was something.

We didn't really have the space for a proper submission match, but it doubt it would have made it any different. He kindly let me put a few holds on him and get some taps before starting his methodical destruction process. After size and strength, method is probably the most striking aspect of his style. In his chokes - his favourites, as the observant reader would have inferred from his handle - or any other holds. I felt little more than a practice dummy as he was meticulously working his squeezes and holds to submission. There's a textbook to write here :).

On a ring or on real mats that could get badly spectacular, we just need to make this happen next time our paths cross. Thanks for the great time and let's do it again when we get the chance.

Met this enigma of U.K. wrestling scene pre covid on one of his too few visits to London. A lot of pre match banter took place and it was obvious both had shared interests!! From opening of his hotel door, a great afternoon followed with fab WOS action. Competitive pro match with Steve taking heel role followed - as he put all his experience too good use and taught his opponent a few painful but enjoyable lessons. Steve loves to give his opponents loads of verbal as he ramps up the weakeners and looks great in his WOS gear - could easily imagine him in the ring at 4pm on itv as a heel with crowd showing their disapproval of him!! A master of many moves, he taunted his opponent throughout and his selective hearing to check if his opponent has submitted is pretty wicked never mind his celebrations. Definitely looking forward to his return visit to London!!

May 2022 - Walthamstow rematch
Another great afternoon with essexuk who introduced me to the great facilities at Walthamstow. Another WOS 8 *5 min rounds (best of three submissions) with great taped intros and timed rounds organised by Clive. Again Nastyboy turned it around and after being surprised by some early wrist/armlocks which proved effective weakeners followed by an impossible to escape from armlock which was applied with increased pressure, NastyBoy had no choice to eventually submit. Despite Essexuks attempts to try and focus on these painful holds, Nastyboy slowly turned it around with both wrist locks and leg locks - a Jimmy breaks inspired wrist lock achieved the equalling submission. The final section of the bout saw nastyboy change tactics to leg weakeners with increased success and the application of a fig4 leg lock gave essexuk no choice but to tap the mats and ask for relief! Through his meticulous forward planning- Clive makes these sessions incredibly enjoyable and both men left the ring exhausted but satisfied. Hopefully it won’t be long before Clive asks for a revenge bout!!!

Aug 2021 Rematch
After much anticipation, the promised rematch finally took place on a very hot summer afternoon in grove park. Both men were keen to get into their trunks and boots after such a long spell away from the ring following covid. Clive still possesses his WOS physique and in his blue trunks and boots proved an early distraction for the nastyboy who lost focus. With this sluggish start, Clive took advantage and ended up placing nasty in a series of painful holds leading to a full nelson which provided Clive with the opening submission. However in best WOS best of 3, nastyboy regained his focus and started to wear down his opponent with a series of wrist locks. Patiently weakening his opponents wrist, nasty took advantage at the appropriate time and upped the pressure leading to a very loud submission by essexUK. As the bell went for the final session, both men were drenched in sweat. Both men’s hairy chests were wringing wet and trunks darkened with sweat. The mat became very slippy. Nasty moved his focus to the lower part of essexuk’ s body working on legs before surprising Clive by locking him into a fig4. Nasty offered essex the opportunity to submit but essex failed to take advantage of opportunity and thus nasty fell back to apply full fig4 pressure - Clive tried hard to resist but with clenching teeth couldnt take the pressure and he banged canvas loudly to indicate his submission!
A great afternoon with more gear changes and pro followed. Both men fell exhausted to canvas after a couple of hours wrestling but big smiles on their faces following climatic action.
More bouts will surely follow

Match 2022 Rematch - eagerly awaited rematch resulting in another deadlock - shame that another match may be needed to sort this one out. Docklands showing off his bear profile in red trunks and shin length black boots. A mammoth struggle followed with equal submissions over timed format. Then some pro action followed with swapping of trademark moves to see how much each man could take before tapping!! All in all another great afternoon and thanks to Dave for his hospitality and looking forward to further matches. Maybe even tags with other WOS bear fans??

August 2021 - Had a fantastic battle of the bears with docklands - a great host who looks like a traditional WOS wrestler in his ring jacket, trunks and boots. This guy is a real Bearman. Whilst we were evenly matched, we managed to get each other in great safe submission holds - he can take a long nasty hold whilst being taunted and goaded - this lad suffers well but can turn a move around very quickly- Docklands is highly recommended and watch out for his mirror!!!
