Recommendations

I met this giant and his lovely partner, ealucha, while they were passing through my city.
We have been eager to test our skills against each other for a while and, though he has quite the size and strength advantage over me, I did manage to tap him out twice in our match.
Our space was a bit limited so we were not able to wrestle full throttle but look forward to another match on mats to see if I will retain my championship belt and really make this guy "submit".
I taught him and his partner a few bjj techniques and we shared a nice meal afterwards. Hope to see them again in Toronto soon!

I met up with this new wrestler and his partner (Jjrwrestle) as they were passing through my city. It was his first time wrestling competitively so I showed him some fundamental positions and basic submission techniques and he picked up very quickly. He has very good natural defensive technique and I'm sure with a bit more experience and some training he could be a very good fighter, just remember to protect your back and neck 😉.

Hope to wrestle with him again soon in Toronto!

So glad to finally get on the mats with Kim. We have been chatting for years and it was good to break a sweat with him. Off the mats, he has quite a warm heart and is easy to chat with. Hope our paths cross again for round 2. Definitely recommend him to all.

Just had a match with this teddy bear/lumberjack of a guy! I planned on ten rounds originally, but this guys perseverance and willingness tired me out, but in the best way. We boxed for seven rounds, and he was respectable, but tough when delivering punches. He caught me good across the nose and lip once and I saw stars. Not only is he tough, but he's smart which made the match extremely better. We did a last minute round of slow boxing and it was HOT. Can't recommend him enough.

Tough German bear to box and wrestle. I lost to him both times. I can not defeat him on the mats but off the mats very nice guy.

Half_nelson is 100% a great guy. He graciously made the trip down, and I’m glad he did. Equal parts gentleman and rassler, he’s a fierce opponent on the mats and a witty, charming guy off them. It was the classic rough and tumble struggle that we all love. Half gets a whole recommendation from me and an open invitation to get back for round two. And three and four and five.

Hey, had my first match with Anvil910 at the NYC Wrestlefest and it was a blast! It was great meeting you. Like he said, we were hanging out, chatting and roughhousing, and yes I was gratuitously punching him ;-) but we finally did hit the mats. It was a lot of fun and a good workout ... and sure you can try to scissor me to a submission, but I might just go, "oh yeah oh yeah!" instead. ;-) Definitely looking forward to a rematch!

What a total stud! Very handsome and has the perfect body from head to toe (built like a fireman :P haha) and is incredibly inviting in a speedo. It actually made focusing on the wrestling difficult as it was easy to get distracted into other things. I had a really wonderful time hanging out with him on and off the mats and am looking forward to the rematch.

I met gioroma80 in Prague as my first wrestling opponent. Fight was set easily. His studio is within easy reach as it's located in the center of Prague. He is well trained, skilled and strong wrestler. As he warned me, there was no mercy during a match, but at the same time he was careful enough to prevent injuries. Of course I've left with few bruises, but it was something I was ready for. It was fun, as should be. Outside of the mat, he is a great companion - friendly and outgoing guy with good sense of humor, plus interesting interlocutor. He is also a wonderful guide. I really enjoyed exploring the city with him. I can recommend him for experienced fighters (because of skill level), but also beginners (because of his flexibility). I will definitely challenge him during my next visit in Prague.

mcic was gracious to host our meetup near where I stayed in Boston. Learned and practiced some holds during our time. He respected my limits as a newbie. We had a good chat off the mats. He is a good teacher. I highly recommend him.
