After at least a decade since we last fought (tho we have
chatted at other group meets),
yesterday DenverWrestler and I squared off at the famous Rob England mat room. Given the weight difference we had agreed on a give & take pro style bout.
DW is a fit skilled strong wrestler, good defence skills and a muscular swimmers build. A handsome dude, sort of Warren Beatty meets Richard Gere, flatteringly he described me as having a Conan the Barbarian look!!
It was a satisfying scrap, leaving is both hungry, so we adjourned to the nearest pub and some comfort food and spent a couple of hours putting the world to rights.
He is a interesting guy to talk to having extensively travelled both the real and MFS world.
Not sure when we first met, somewhere back in the noughties I think. Reflecting on this while writing the recommendation and the underground wrestling scene in general, makes me realise once again how lucky I am to be a part of this international community and site, where lasting friendships are made based on a shared interest.
In conclusion Allen is a nice guy,well mannered and considerate. It was an easy stress free meet to set up, (prompt replies to all my emails) Def recommendation.🇬🇧🇺🇸

Had a great time wrestling Daytonwrestler. He is in great shape and super nice. If you get a chance to take him on , don't pass it up. Hope we can wrestle again soon.

I had a excellent match yesterday with Ovid19. He has a great mat set up and is a friendly hospitable host. It was his first match since pre-Covid so I hope he is not suffering too much today! lol. We started in Levis and t-shirts and as the sweat built up down to speedos. All I can say is his mats got pretty slippy by the end! He is a fit tough guy and we both fought hard. Look forward to a rematch with him soon.

After months of conversing across continents, the stars finally aligned for us to be in the same place at the same time, and get satisfaction from all the machismo we’ve been spinning with one another. Make no mistake though this guy is the real deal; tough, competitive, and extremely strong. He’s also quite the looker. But all that pales in comparison to his great personality though. Deal, on another match up my brother!

For me, it was a very intense and exciting fight and, above all, fun.
