16/01/2020: Fitgymlad is clearly going to be an excellent addition to the London wrestling scene, although unfortunately I canʼt see that he will manage to be all that active for a while yet given his punishing training schedule and existing startlingly macho sporting commitments: he clearly works out more than I sleep! And it shows in a superb muscular physique that will make him a formidable opponent on the mats once he has the time to devote to his latest sport. Organizing the bout with him was as easy as can be—he even booked the Grove Park ring for us despite not having been there before; communicating with him was simple; and he was reliable and bang on time. Once down to business his inexperience was fairly evident, but he is a quick learner, and coupled with his stamina, impressive strength, greater height and desire to win I didnʼt have it all my own way, and eventually he was taking me down more often than the other way around, and even got three lovely submissions out of me, including with a beautiful skull-crushing headlock. At that Johnny 5 pace of development he will be using me as a sweat towel rather than an opponent in no time. Safe, sane, charming on and off the mats, easy on the eye, a true sportsman in all senses of the word, the well named Fitgymlad is clearly going to make a big splash, so grab a bout with the big ironman while he is still just about beatable!

Pahman has kindly hosted me for a few great meets now. He is always safe and likes a good, sweaty wrestle with plenty of holds and he can lock on a great headscissor. Looking forward to many more fun meets.

Andy is a really nice guy and a great guy to wrestle with. He is a sane and safe wrestler. He's also strong and put me in some very difficult positions.

Ha sido mi primera lucha con él y se nota que es un tío que le gusta la lucha. Le gusta resistirse hasta el final. Además es muy amable y con un sitio bien acondicionado!

Il n'est pas seulement sympa. Il est la gentillesse personnifié. Quelqu'un qui a l'art de vous faire sentir à l'aise depuis le premier moment. Sûr le Tapis même en restant tout gentil, il est fort et décidé. Quand il a une prise, c'est très difficile de s'en défaire. C'est toujours un plaisir de partager le Tapis, des conversations et un bon repas avec lui.

I was, if honest, apprehensive. Not about meeting Squashlad but about my first real session. But Squashlad put me at ease very quickly and I soon relaxed and started to really enjoy the wrestle we had.
His experience and strength are well worth a match! I can’t help feel he took it easy on me (and I feel battered, in a good way) but regardless I learnt a lot in just two short hours (avoid the ropes!!) ha ha.
Practical tips for a beginner, like me, coupled with examples of some holds and what to do - an awesome time!
I would recommend a match with Squashlad most highly! Kind, chatty and knows his stuff that’s for sure. Until next time!! Oh oh - and I got a few taps in from him - ha ha which he paid me back for with no uncertain terms.

I have wrestled mattman several times and had long, competitive sweaty matches with him in various gear. He is very masculine, loves wrestling as a sport, and a nice guy off the mat, but on the mat he is strong and aggressive.

I wrestled Matt several times when he lived in Chicago, and it was always a fun time. It was especially fun to make him suffer in my scissors LOL

Great guy to wrestle with. Had a lot of fun.
