When I first saw Barcelona1983's profile a few months ago, I noticed that our stats and experience look quite similar and I thought this could lead to a very interesting fight. So I messaged him to say hi, although I had no actual plan to travel to Poland in the next future.

Fast forward to this summer, and I was so lucky to actually meet him in his current hometown Gdynia during my cycling holiday along the Baltic coast.

S. is physically strong for his size (he obviously trains in the gym better than I do) and knows how to bring intensity on the mat while keeping everything respectful. Which is also my style - or my goal - when I grapple. Luckily I could counterbalance with technique and teach him his place a bit :-). Our match was competitive but absolutely safe. Also, the place where we wrestled in Gdynia was just perfect, with lots of space around the mat, so we didn't need to worry about accidental hits to furniture or other stuff around.

After our roll, he led me on a visit to the city on our bikes and later we enjoyed a great dinner together. So he's not just an excellent training partner: he’s also been super welcoming as a person. Fun fact: he's into ships as much as I am into trains - I guess being transportation geeks made us click even more.

We even got to make a photoshoot after the match, which I really loved although it was definitely a first for me.

Super recommended fighting partner, and I’ll be more than happy to meet again anytime!

Wir hatten uns nach einem guten Chat getroffen und es war cool.
Einige Runden an Kräftemessen und Vergleiche standen an und manches auch festgehalten. Armdrücken gegen ihn war sehr cool und sein Bizeps kommt echt gut raus. Stark.
Auch das Kämpfen mit ihm hat viel Spaß gemacht. Alles in Allem sind wir uns einig, dass wir uns wieder treffen wollen und es auch dann nicht langweilig werden wird, da man sich auch mit ihm über verschiedenste Themen sehr gut unterhalten kann. Danke dir und eine Empfehlung meinerseits!

Had a great time meeting this fighter. He looks damn good in gear and brings some hidden strength and smart moves to the mats. If you're not careful, he'll surprise you with it. Solid endurance too, especially in tight holds like scissors, he can handle quite a lot.
Tag team was a blast. Once he sees his chance, he can flip the situation, get mean, and go for revenge with the right attitude 😈 Playful, fun, but with fire behind it.. and sweat too.
Definitely recommended. Cool guy off the mats too, hope to meet again for more rounds.

A few days after I arrived in the UK, I received a message by Marcos and we quickly found out that we enjoyed the same aspects of wrestling, especially heel/jobber games. I knew that I would enjoy the meeting if I had a chance. I ended up visiting Brum and informed him immediately. Marcos was quick to reply and a couple of hours later we were wrestling at my hotel. As expected it was (from the jobber's side) hard and fun at the same time. We really enjoyed the same long holds. His strength was outstanding. He's got technical skills too and I felt safe with him. All jobbers should meet him ! In addition, I can say that he is a nice and reliable guy, it would be fun to meet him again.

Super nice guy, we had a nice wrestling session given the space we had. Held his own pretty well but in the end my size advantage prevailed. Looks really good in singlets and makes you want to go at him over and over again ☺️

It was a good meeting. We have a some common interests and had a good chat prior that helped set safety boundaries and had a good match within them. He knows what he wants and he can take a good squeeze.

I met up with Dan for a domination match, he surely has a lot pf power in his moves and knows how to execute them well, his legs especially are very strong.
But be warned he's not for the faint of heart, his squeeze was really tight from the get go

Jordy125 was an awesome meet! Upfront and easy to organise, it was great to host him. Off the mats a great guy to chat to and was a fun roll around (added bonus is he looks amazing in the gear!) Looking forward to round 2.

Brian is a great guy who is very strong and agile for his age.
He is a very enthusiastic wrestler with a very good sense of humour.
I strongly recommend him.

After long time we could meet and I can say he has a strong body and strong guard game, it took all my energy to break his guard and submit him.

Easy communication and good person to talk about sports, BJJ our passion !
