Recommendations

A super friendly skilled guy who was kind enough to host a small group on his mats in a hotel during Toronto Wrestle Fest. He's fit, fun, and very good, even during a match, in pointing out ways to improve a hold or get out of one. He spent quite a bit of time showing one of the newer guys a lot of BJJ tricks to make him a better wrestler. All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon, and sincere thanks to him for organizing it and giving me some mat time with him.

Definitely lives up to the “muscleboy” name! Even with small built-up size, he made the effort to wear me out. He looked fantastic in some of my holds, and those massive guns really stood out when he flexed. He is genuinely a good guy, both in and out of a match.

This guy was a beast and a ton of fun to meetup with. Great opponent and an even better guy to chat with. We had a great time rolling around and if you’re in Columbus- you gotta reach out! He’s the real deal.

MiccoD is new to the wresting world. He heard about Wrestlefest Toronto and decided to join MF and came to one of the events, which is where we met. Then we setup a match for the next day. It was his first ever and my last one before heading home. We hit it off right off the bat when he mentioned having done Spartan Races, something I have done a bunch of and is one of my favorite activities outside of wrestling. Knowing he did those, I knew he would be able to take most any physical abuse I dished out and I was right. Sure, I beat up on him for the couple hours we rolled. But at no point did he say it was too much. After seeing what he knew, we spent some time going over moves and defenses to them. I have no doubt that he is going to learn more and be a lot tougher to beat by the time next WFTO comes around and I can't wait to do it again.

I managed to snag a last minute match with this big man and hoo boy, it was a blast. His size isn't just for show, he's got some serious power behind him and he knows how to twist you for the pin. Always felt safe when we were clashing into each other and had a great chat before, during, and after. Get him when you can!

I had a quick but fun session with this gear aficionado. He looked the part of a pro wrestler and knew the moves to disarm me with his speed. A great guy that I'm looking forward to wrestling again

Bruiser the butcher is a great Guy, Knows his wrestling and a great host. Hell of a good dude. Had a good time wrestling him and he concidered my exxperience which I was thankfll! .Will be meeting him anytime I'm in TO and he has the time.

What an honor to be the first to recommend Keatkeat428. I will call him Keat for short. Keat is fairly new to the wrestling community here, but he is definitely an up-and-coming force to be contended with. I found out right away that he’s pretty strong, and he has very good instinct. We had a lot of fun rolling around and going a little crazy, I also had the privilege of trying to give him some tips when it came to wrestling and maybe a couple of basic BJJ moves. I very much look forward to wrestling with him again, and I recommend him very highly. Very strong, very polite and nice young man.

What a pkeasure it was meeting this big, jovial, intelligent bear of a guy! Bear Ops and I took turns demonstrating what we knew in terms of pro and sub for this enthusiastic learner and he soaked it up like a sponge. He's very astute, observant, funny and able to talk your ear off about a broad diversity of topics that could have (and did) gone on for hours. I'll be curious to see where this guy lands a year from now...it'll be beyond interesting to see how he applies what he's absorbed. I've no doubt he'll be a force to be reckoned with!

After months of chatting, finally had the chance to meet and roll with this intelligent tank of a guy! He was also a pleasure to hang with off the mats too! Funny and whip smart, I look forward to connecting with him again!
