I'd read this guy's profile before catching him at yesterday's meet at Pippas. 'Just starting and wanting to learn some moves' it said so when we got a chance we got together to see if I could show him anything. Being in a rather tight, sinew straining hold quite quickly (which he also knew a name for!) I sought clarification on his experience to date!! Seems he's done a lot of classes in various forms of grappling so it turned into more of a lesson for me.

Good guy to roll with and knows his stuff - can explain it well too.

Also social guy off the mats.

Joe was injured when we wrestled so I got to play tackling dummy. Had a lot of fun meeting, chatting, and sanely rolling around; very much looking forward to our next match!

01/04/2017: It was great to get an April Fool's Day grapple in with wrestlelock at the Grapevine Group meet at Pippa's. His BJJ training was clearly evident (and he was kind enough to show me a few things, even if most of them did go over my head!) and we had a good sweaty tussle. Thankfully a bit of extra height and quite a lot of extra bulk (ahem) kept me out of trouble, but he's a competitive wrestle and I'm looking forward to another go at him soon. Safe, sane, friendly and polite, wrestlelock is highly recommended.

Great guy to wrestle with. Good strength, good skill set, great attitude. Also, just a whole lot of fun to hang with. Very much looking forward to our next match..

Your short-term request was an unexpected surprise. We had a long time head-scissor session, I have never done only this single hold in all time:-) But I have to say you have strong legs and it was a pleasure for me ..... outside of mat you are a friendly and nice guy. When do you like to be in head-scissor you must meet him.

Don't be deceived by the age on the profile! Behind that "number" is a powerbull! Very strong and fun wrestler who knows how to use his power. But it takes more than just that to take down maddwrester :P
Great match- super host and very fun on and off the mat.

First up, don't be deceived by any height advantage you may have over maddwrestler. He may be on the short side but he is strong, energetic and fast with it. We had a great back and forth match, working up a sweat in no time. He wasn't intimidated by the size difference in the least. Off the mats, he's polite and good company.

A genuinely great guy on and off the mat. He has a lot of stamina and uses this to his advantage. A thoroughly enjoyable match and will hope to meet up again.

We chatted and challenge each other and communicated our respect for each other, since our stats are almost identical. So we set our match for Thursday 30Mar2017. I can tell the adrenaline build up and the rules were set for a SAFE aggressive submission alpha match as buddies.
Arrived on time, he was waiting. No head games and NOT that "something came up and I can't wrestle today BS". We greeted as true friends when I arrived, but when we got to the mats, it was the beginning of a super match between 2 equal men, wanting to win the alpha competition, but at same time safety was a priority for both.
All I can say it was one of the hardest and most intense matches I had wrestled. It was a REAL challenge for both. This man is a real WRESTLER, a alpha stud, a strong man, and a true buddy. If you want a good intense wrestling match, be prepared to give it all on the mats, because he is also giving it all. We gave each other a hell of a challenge and it was a super experience to remember.
He show me how good of a host he is, and we ended as real bonded buddies. Without a doubt, I recommend him. Let me also throw in, we will have a rematch next time we can!
