WORLD OF RAWR

I'm back here to be a bit of an oddball and talk to all of you about interest.

Specifically, me expressing interest.

When it comes to expressing interest, things to know:

• Timing is important
• I'm a relaxed person in general

Have a sip of something while I discuss.

ABOUT TIMING

Most things are abstract for me until they aren't. What that means is that I might look forward to something in the future but the emotions around it aren't.

What that means in practice is that if you ask me, "Are you excited about taking a trip at the end of the summer?!" you're likely going to get, "Sure!"

Not because I don't care or because I don't want to do things, but because it's March. That moment is like 5 months away and I have things other things I'm thinking about that are more concrete and immediate.

What that means in practice is that I'm going to be more expressive about things happening in a week than things happening in a month.

ABOUT PERSONALITY

Finally, I'm a calm and relaxed personality in general. Easy going. 

What that means in practice is that I've never been the type to respond "OMG YES EXCITEMENT WOOOO 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉" about everything; that's rare for me.

Instead, I ask questions about the kind of experience you want. I take a moment to check in about details. I add things to my calendar. It's chill and mostly practical.

When I see you in person, tho? Exuberance. Hugs. Laughter. All of those things.

I'm not one to perform emotions regardless, so I might not read as interested or excited and so on if your only measure of that interest is how expressive I come across in text.

Then again, I feel like if we're talking and I ask you for dates and times and open my calendar to make notes so I can allocate time, that's a sure sign I wanna do the things regardless of what I sound like.

(I'm also straightforward to a fault, so if I don't want to do something or I'm unsure, I'll tell you exactly where I'm at and what I'm thinking)

ANYWAY

There are so many different types of people and personalities around here and I am but one example, but I think it's an example people could relate to.
