The Raw Colosseum: A View That Demands a War
I spend my days in office trapped behind glass, staring down at a city that feels too quiet and too "managed." But right there in the center of that construction site, there’s a glitch in the system.
Look at the middle of that land. That’s not a foundation; it’s a goddamn arena.
It’s a perfect, carved-out bowl of dirt and grit, sitting there like a modern-day Colosseum waiting for a main event. Every time my eyes drift away from my screen, I’m not looking at urban development—I’m scouting the terrain. I’m imagining the sound of feet digging into that packed earth and the echo of a heavy strike off those tiered slopes.
The urge to be down there is becoming a physical weight. I want to leave this climate-controlled cage, hop the perimeter fence, and stand right in the center of that dust. I want to find someone who’s just as tired of the civilized grind as I am and just... go. No mats, no timers, no bullshit. Just a raw, unsanctioned brawl in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon while the rest of the world worries about their deadlines.
There’s something about that shape—that perfect, accidental arena—that calls out to the part of you that isn't meant to sit in a chair. It’s a stage built for violence, hidden in plain sight. One of these days, the temptation is going to win, and the people in the offices across the street are going to get a much better show than they bargained for.
The pit is calling. And honestly? I’m running out of reasons to say no.

20 days agoThat looks like the perfect venue for men and teen-age boys to go settle their differences or simply fight for dominance, pecking order and to settle raging testosterone. It looks remote enough so that fights can go on unimpeded without the authorities intruding and breaking them up. Especially after hours after the workers have left for the day. I can see the fighters stepping to the center, shirts coming off, pushing, grabbing and verbally challenging each other, and then the fist starting to fly and the sound of punches striking on bare skin. Hopefully a decent gathering of spectators there to egg on the fighters and encourage the male-on-male aggression and violence. I can see the fighters glazed in sweat, bloody faces and getting covered in dust and mud as the battle goes to the ground. Maybe it turns into an event with several fights as spectators challenge the winner or challenge other spectators in attendance. A testosterone filled environment with men and boys, like bulls in a heat, needing to show their courage and a desire to dominate and inflict pain on each other!

...'inflict pain on each other'?
What is wrong with you?
Wrestling is about skills, physicality, respect, and testing one another.
Oh! I see, law-enforcement and military background, that explains it all! Maybe you should reconsider which online community best suits your mindset?
