WHAT IS AN OPEN MAT?

An open mat is an unstructured training time where wrestlers and grapplers of all levels come together to practice, spar, and share techniques in a relaxed, friendly environment.

There’s no set class or coach leading—it’s about rolling at your own pace, learning from others, and finding partners to match your interest and skill level. They’re beginner-friendly, flexible, and a great way to meet people while building experience.

We're excited to offer you many opportunities to meet and connect on the mats this year. In face, we have more than 20 hours of open mats on offer! Join us at one of the open mats below, and check out additional open mat times organized by our attendees.

THURSDAY, JULY 23:
Kickoff Party: 6:00pm - 9:00pm | Flash On Church

A small mat area will be set up for anyone looking to kickstart their wrestling

FRIDAY, JULY 24:
The Main Event: 2:00pm - 9:00pm | Phoenix Concert Theatre

Mats will be set up for you to casually roll and try out wrestling with fellow attendees
Enjoy the live show, bar area, and lounge in between your matches

SATURDAY, JULY 25:
Submit: 11:00am - 6:00pm | Cock Bar (Above Flash On Church)

Erotic wrestling focus
Oil wrestling and cockfighting also available for you to try

Grappling Class and Open Mats: 3:30pm - 7:30pm | NAKA MMA

Beginner-friendly grappling class: 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Open mat 4:30pm - 7:30pm
Strictly sport and training focused. Absolutely no erotic or unprofessional behaviour permitted!

SUNDAY, JULY 26
Open Mats: 10:00Am - 12:00pm | NAKA MMA
