2026 marks the first year that MeetFighters celebrates the National Exuberance Day of Lichtenstein, the most festive holiday of this small but exuberant country. You may have noticed that the internet has become a very noisy place. Attention is a scarce resource, and competing for it can be challenging, especially when you are competing in the same space as mega-corporations with huge marketing budgets. The voice of a small site like MeetFighters can easily get drowned out in the noise. 

This is where you come in! Become our Ambassador by sharing your love for fighting, and by extension, for MeetFighters. So what's in it for you? Besides the warm and fuzzy of helping a community grow, we are also happy to introduce the MeetFighters Ambassador Program!

• To become an Ambassador, tell people who sign up to let MeetFighters know that you referred them. (They can do that by entering your username in the referral field during sign-up or by mentioning you in a message to us.)
• Reach 10 referrals, and you will receive a special "Voice of MeetFighters" badge on your profile.
• Reach the most referrals in each quarter, and you will become the "Ambassador of MeetFighters" for the next quarter. This comes with a special badge and a shoutout on our social media channels (which we don't have yet, but if you are good at managing these, reach out to us!) You will also get to pick an item from our merchandise store for free, and get free contributor membership for a year!
• Become our Ambassador again by maintaining the highest referral count in subsequent quarters, and we will bury you under our love and appreciation! (Actually we haven't yet figured out what the reward will be for repeat Ambassadors, but we promise it will be good!)

Group Messages: Now Even Better

A big thank you to everyone who attended and organised WrestleFest NYC; You put our group messaging feature through its paces as a real-world stress test, and the feedback was gold. Many of the improvements were already quietly pushed; today we're rolling out the rest:

• Mute groups: silence the chatter when you need to focus on your next match
• Pin conversations: keep the important stuff at the top
• Reply to messages: finally, proper threaded replies
• More context options: open profiles directly from within a conversation
• Secure group invite links: group admins can now share a link to invite new members safely
  
  

Video Update

Our video service has just received an update. The core concept (you can upload a short video to embellish your profile) remains unchanged. Under the hood, we have introduced a more modern video codec to improve video quality and reduce file sizes, allowing for smoother playback. Additionally, videos are now displayed more prominently on the "What's new?" page. Otherwise, the upload process remains the same and other than a bump in quality, you won't notice any difference.

Release

Both the group message improvements and profile sharing are available on the website right now.
App version 3.8 is currently being reviewed by Apple and Google and will bring the group message features to the app.
App version 3.9 will follow shortly after, bringing the profile sharing feature to the app. In the meantime, you can use this feature via the website link.

Hi Fighters!

Following up our last site news where we introduced the beta mail, we are now happy to bring a long awaited feature to our mail interface:

 Group messages!

As of right now, you can create group messages on our site!

I don't think it requires any explanation. It works just like every other messenger app. Create a group, and invite your friends, all within MeetFighters!

You are in full control; nobody can pull you into a group. You must actively accept the invite. 

Important: Group messages are still in the beta branch; we are aware of missing functionality, like muting, pinning, and certain message-related quick actions. (Be ready and annoyed by a bunch of updates in the following days.)  

Group messages are only available on the website; an update to our app will be released in the next few days. 

How to use it? 

Simple, on the beta mail page, click the + button to create a new group, then invite your MF frenemies.

Update - 8th of February 2026

The new mail page is now live for all!

Hello Fighters,

This week our team of unusually strong and nimble developers brought to you the following updates:

• Past Events: When you visit someone's profile, you can see the events that they will be attending. But, until now, you couldn't answer the question: "Which events did they attend in the past?" Now you can!
  • In turn, if you do not want your past events shown on your profile, you can disable this feature in your privacy settings. Everybody's happy!
• App update: We released 3.5.0 version of our mobile app.
  • The app now features in-app notifications that pop up in the top right of the screen. If you find this sort of thing annoying, then be annoyed no more: you can disable these in the app settings.
  • The mail screen now better handles wider tablet screens.
  • Speaking of tablets, our app now supports iPads.
  • We fixed a bug that caused the app language to reset to the device default under some circumstances.
• Looking for testers! If you are curious, technically minded and/or masochistic, help us test our upcoming changes! Just drop us a message and we will inflict enable some new features for your account.
• (Also, behind the scenes, we changed how we process cryptocurrencies and fixed a bunch of bugs. So exciting.)

The biggest feature: Expiring Pictures
We added a long-requested feature: expiring pictures in messages for more privacy and control.
Pictures added to your photo manager can now be sent as a one-time-view attachment. Available in the App and Website. Click the new button in the message interface.

App Blogs
Blog support is now added to our App as well.

The Attic
MeetFighters is serious business, we help people meet, train, wrestle, and much more. But sometimes, members just want to have a little fun. That’s what the Attic is for. It’s the place for silly, whimsical, fun content that doesn’t quite fit anywhere else. Enjoy.

The Punishment Roulette is a useful highlight to spice up your matches.
Fully customizable and ready to use!

With Christmas only a few weeks away, we’ve also re-enabled our e-cards. A nice way to remind your friends you haven’t forgotten them.
