Savage is recommended by andreawrestling (8/22/2024)

We met at a camp, with a large, comfortable tatami mat. This allowed us to have a fun and safe match! Ryan-Savage is a cheerful, smiling guy who puts you at ease and invites you to have a good, fun match.

Centaur is recommended by andreawrestling (8/22/2024)

I met Centaur after some time in which we were trying to arrange a match. We met on the tatami for a good grappling match. Despite the difference in weight and experience, it was a beautiful match. Centaur made me feel safe and allowed me to try some techniques. Maybe next time will be a Pro wrestling match.
Super recommended.

Wrestlewarrior is recommended by SileX (8/22/2024)

Wrestlewarrior is a nice friendly big guy, a rookie with a good attitude and a smile on his face on the mats. No ax to grind and nothing to prove, it's just a fun roll. :)

The meeting with Markus was planned quickly. Markus is an extremely nice guy. It's fun to chat with him. I hope I'll meet him more often. He's new here but very strong. He knows how to defend himself. He'll definitely be a tough opponent in a few more fights.

Great guy - nice thick body! We met up on his recent Chicago trip and had a blast trading holds, both submission and pro style. Looking forward to meeting up again soon -

It was a good match we had he’s a lot more energetic and strong than I thought, I was surprised he never took any MMA classes.

LuchadorChinito is recommended by Bamm-Bamm (8/21/2024)

LuchadorChinito: the Chinese boy who has recreated a contemporary version of the Roman gladiator concept in the historic city center of Bologna. Unlike the original Roman gladiator owners, he is more considerate and lures his fighters with food, drinks, and guided city tours through the Bolognese arena, where they will be tested and tried.

He was left bruised and battered after the street fight he demanded of me. His body, all drenched in the sweat that dripped off mine. (Sweat was literally running from my shoulders/arms, and got transferred to his face through the soaked mma-gloves😊).
Against my expectations and against all odds, he was able to absorb these inappropriate levels of aggression and abuse like a sponge. He adapted to the violence, stopped fearing it, learned from it, and picked up some of my basic fighting skills. Then, he threw it all back at me in the one-sided phase of our meet. What a unique experience!

So, as his gladiator, how am I to recommend him? Well, if you’re his size and skill level, be ready for a very tough and fierce fight. This guy has learned to fight back and won't quit, not even under the pressure of a heavy knee on the chest or a forearm on the throat.

If you’re bigger and more skilled, expect a super ambitious white belt with some months of training and a natural willingness to fight. He won’t back down. He won't be intimidated by you. Instead, he will learn and replicate what you do to him and use it against you.

In both cases, the only mercy you'll get is when he thinks he's hurt you more than he intended.

I look forward to seeing this man grow into his place and role here. And yes, you can visit Bologna and give him a 9.9/10 (*) on TripAdvisor, but you’d be missing out on the real strength of this city: the Chinese gladiator school.

(*) Blame the 2-stop caterpillar monorail that can be confusing to peanut-brain travelers😇.

LuchadorChinito is truly inspiring when it comes to planning and traveling. Somehow, in August, he managed to meet up five times. We had a sunny park walk, a rainy walk home, a canceled train, formal training sessions, beer/bubbles/wine—and horrible tea😂. And of course, we fought too.

It wasn’t just physical; we also sparred verbally and ethically, debating sensitivity, fairness, and happiness. Most discussions were bitter, few sweet, but they broadened our perspectives, brought us closer and made us grow as individuals. In these emotional debates, LuchadorChinito was as tough as on the mats, countering my sometime narrow-minded, spoiled views with sharp arguments. I'm truly grateful for that!

His perseverance also showed in formal training. He attended DavidVdw's sessions twice, even arriving late to the first, missing the warm-up, and joining a mostly unfamiliar group. Anyone in martial arts knows how intimidating that can be👍.

In our private street fight, I was impressed again—and a bit intimidated—by how much punishment LuchadorChinito could take. During the physical phase, he barely flinched at the extra brutality I threw his way. Even when I pushed him mentally, he stood his ground and refused to break. And watch out for his jab and hook—his punches have improved, and his right fist connected with my head more than once.

On a lighter note, despite the strong bond and friendship we've built through this journey, LuchadorChinito didn't hesitate to dominate me, grabbing me by the balls and thoroughly humiliating me by making me sing "Happy Birthday" to him🤣.

Bamm-Bamm is recommended by LuchadorChinito (8/21/2024)

Is Bamm-Bamm a beast? Yes, without any doubts, he is the strongest man I have ever fought with. But he is also the sweetest man you can ever imagine. He knows when to push my limits and when to respect them. (He just used 40% of his power to protect me not to be injured, and I still tapped like every 20 seconds)

When I picked him up at the train station, I immediately noticed this tall, strong, handsome guy with the warmest smile (yes, when he’s not fighting, he’s just a happy big boy). Also, he’s such a funny guy. We laughed A LOT together. From the very first minute, I knew it would be one of my greatest experiences ever.

After chatting with him for more than 2 years continuously, finally we got to meet each other, and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. We have done so many styles: grappling, gutpunching, Naked Kombat, and the STREETFIGHT! (Geez, he put me in so many holds). He treated me like a real fighter and coached me whenever he could to make me a better gladiator!

What’s more? I also consider him a life-long friend. Whenever I am down, he is there to support me. When we were not fighting, we chatted everything about life, work, hobbies, future, etc. The conversation could go on and on without any boredom (we chatted till 3:30am, lol). He is such a relaxed, cool, witty, intelligent guy that also influences me to learn how to live in the moment.

Let me sum up our meet, otherwise, this recommendation will turn to be a graduation thesis. Literally, there are numerous things I wanna say, because this man carries so many good qualities. I always tell him, for me, he is the example of PERFECTION (well, he would laugh because he couldn’t sing, haha). All I want to express is my endless thank-you to him, for everything he does for me both on and off the mats.

I LOVE ALL THESE BRUISES (they are the badges of the honor). Can’t wait for our future matches, and let’s see if I could make you sweat a bit more! See you soon and get ready, my dearest friend!!!

During my 2.5 weeks in Belgium, I met Bamm-bamm 5 times, including 1 hang-out for beer, 2 private sessions and 2 grappling training sessions organized by David. Why is he so popular? Because he’s that kind of person who would always bring you the biggest happiness through chat and fight or just simply a biggest smile from him.

When we were together, we always tried to share thoughts about life. As I mentioned last time, I consider him as a very close friend whom I could always open heart with. He uses his positivity to make my life more colorful. He told me a lot about his life experience and taught me how to become a more cheerful person, but also there is no problem for him to be with the negative version of me.

When I trained with him at David’s club, he was always smiling and laughing with everyone. As a very well-trained fighter, he was very soft to the less experienced, smaller guys or newcomers like me. Whoever drills with him, he would be very patient to cooperate with them until they understand the technique. When he was sparring, he was super careful with the safety issue, meanwhile makes every opponent enjoy the whole session. That’s why he’s one of the most popular guys at the open mat event.

Let’s talk about our private sessions. He knows my fantasy and dream very well and he also understands my struggling with fighting. So before the fights, he always asks me what kind of match I want to do so he could cooperate with me in the best way he could. As last time in Bologna, I challenged him for streetfights. There was no reluctance in his eyes and he never laughed at my clumsy moves or quick taps. Whenever I wanted a stop, he stopped immediately to check if I was ok. As usual, he only used tiny bit of his power, and I, with no surprise, lost all the rounds, lol.

As a friend, I can’t thank him enough for bringing me so much joy in my life. As an opponent, I would never stop challenging him. I truly hope our friendship and matches will last forever!!!
