Y'all, I don't even know where to begin. The Professor was just such an exciting person to get to know and train with. He just GETS IT. It's pretty rare to see somebody new that has such a keen intuition for grappling arts, but The Professor has it. He picks up new moves quickly, asks great questions, and is great at establishing and retaining dominant positions. It is going to be so, so exciting to see him grow to become an absolute mat shark! Off the mats, he's a very sweet and intelligent guy. Also, literally a professor. Would highly recommend meeting him. I expect people writing reviews after mine to rave about how badass he is now.

Had an awesome time rolling w/ mcic at wrestlefest! He's got some skills and picks up on other people's games real quick. He's a challenging roll because he's slippery, resilient, and his stature lets him pull off escapes nobody else can. T'was full of surprises, loved rolling with him and would recommend meeting mcic!

Anneil is the sweetest fella' and a true connoisseur when it comes to submission holds. I was impressed and (very) amused by his encyclopedic knowledge of traditional and obscure moves. Wondering what a Cryangle™ is? Anneil's got you covered. He's very fun to throw around, full of surprises, asks great questions, and is a great uke! 10/10 would absolutely style on him again.

Bobbybencarter was an AWESOME guy to roll with. He's explosive, has great stamina, and learns very quickly. Once he learned a good guillotine he intuitively built an entire game around it and slayed all the guys at Wrestlefest. Be advised that he is tenacious - if you roll sub with him, you will WORK for those submissions and won't get the tap unless your technique is dialed in. To other wrestlers - don't teach him anything crazy, we can't let him get too powerful!

Had several sweaty rounds with Tad and had the time of my life! He's beefy, powerful, and skilled. Tad's BJJ experience is very apparent - he's got great control and can match intensity easily. I like that he plays a strategic game, establishing a dominant position before going for the kill. Off the mats, he's a big, lovable teddy bear and quite the standup comedian. I'm so glad I got to meet Tad and would highly recommend him!

BearTamer is an amazing BJJ fighter, and the best thing about wrestling with him is that he is patient and willing to roll with you at the level that you are at. He is very skilled and willing to teach others. I was able to be the uke for BearTamer as he taught a bunch of us how to do armbars, triangle chokes, kimuras, and other submissions. I learned a ton from him and look forward to rolling with him again. Don't pass up a chance to wrestle with this stud!

Poolbusiness was a really good communicator. He's new to wrestling, but knows things about what he wants. He's still learning and a bit shy at first, but he was really fun to wrestle around with. Also, he was truly very understanding when I had to start our match a bit later because of work running later than anticipated. If you get a chance to wrestle with this guy, you definitely should. He's stronger than you'd think and just a cool fun person, once you get talking. Young, but a good head on his shoulders.

Un gusto poder luchar con luchamadrid. Tiene mucha fuerza a pesar de lo que pueda parecer sus fotos, y tiene mucho control. Además de las lecciones que me daba durante la pelea. Muy majete además hay que decir, que se agradece el lado humano ;-)

scrappyone and I had a great singlet match that lasted for almost 2 hours, with only small water breaks. I have to say, I thought I might have a weight advantage, but as much as he was 'scrappy,' he was just as knowledgeable about how to keep me down and pinned as he was at being persistent. Definitely skilled! His stamina was super good, better than most men I've wrestled. He definitely got the best of me with some guillotines, but I hope I put up a good fight.

He was also a great man to walk around town with, showing me more sights and helping me avoid crowded touristy areas and into more interesting places to see. A fun and particular guy; it's clear why he has great reviews with a lot of matches under his belt. Highly recommend and hope to challenge him again.
