I had so much fun yesterday, stepping into a real squared circle here in the Las Vegas area. Ace King is a true gentleman and a very patient and overall phenomenal teacher when it comes to all the mechanics and even the aesthetic details of properly telling a story in the ring.

I will never be able to watch professional wrestling the same way ever again. I know that some things are certainly aided, scripted whatever you’d like to call it and some on TV even today are blaring obvious, but now Ace has taught me even more and has really helped open my eyes of just all the little things that can be done to enhance and playoff the crowd to entice the crowd when to go full speed & when to pause. It’s all really quite fascinating to me.

I am a little sore today as you know I haven’t exactly been a regular at the gym. I’m getting motivated to be in better shape though just so that I can take the proper bumps and help out my stage partner, a.k.a. opponents in the ring, it really is a collaboration more than it is competition in a way, but it’s still just fun, letting the manly grunts out and working through the maneuvers and struggling and selling all of it.

I would have to say that I am still prone to want to do erotic submission matches more one for the pleasure aspect that I’m not afraid to admit. Also, just because I am even my bjj training is rusty there and really wanted to develop my skills and clean off all the rust prior to WrestleFest Chicago. 

I’m trying to pace myself so I don’t burn myself out I’m not getting any younger so I could be more prone to injury, but I also know that I can prevent any injuries by keeping safe limits in place and not that I want to be a total jobber, but I think I’m at the stage where I would go about 50% semi-competitive so that I can maintain the endurance to go through a longer bout of usually best of seven rounds so the first to four taps kind of what I like to do, but sometimes I do get put in my place quicker than others so we shall see.

Overall, it’s just amazing to meet genuinely good nice people in the Wrestling community and sometimes our schedules get crazy but sometimes it can just be a last-minute once you both do know you’re available. You can just go for it and it was a lot of fun yesterday and I can’t wait to get together with Ace to do it all over again.
