Damly was my second match while I was in lyon.
He is a great guy both on and off the mats and a great host too. He also has a great set up too with his mats as it was hot and sunny we out the mats outside in his secluded garden. My first time wrestling outdoors. The breeze kept us cooler than if we had wrestled indoors. Was a pleasant experience.
We wrestled a while exchanging some long slow pins and holds. As we matched up close in stats it meant we both stood an even chance of escaping.
Highly recommended if you are in lyon or if he is ever your way don't miss the chance to have a match with him safe sane and fun ;)

My first match in Lyon was against Solex. We met in the evening and wrestled a few hours in both judogi and singlet.
His holds are very good his sankakus (fig 4 headscissors )and tate shio gatamae ( double leg grapevine ) are quite strong and immobilising once he locked you down in them combined with his strength and great sense of balance you will have a struggle to escaped them. Plus the other holds he uses and knows are just as good ;).
Strong in arms and legs too meaning a great sweaty match is ensured.
His stamina is also good. Both on and off the mats he is a great guy and a great opponent AAA+++ all round.
If you ever in lyon don't miss the chance to meet him you won't be disappointed. And hopefully will get to rematch one day highly recommended. :)

Good wrestling with Freestyle. He is a safe and interresting guy on and out the mat. You must meet him.

Même s'il dit qu'il n'en fait plus depuis un moment, de solides connaissances en judo au sol à l'ancienne avec immobilisation, prises, clés etc... Donc si vous lui laisser son kimono ne soyez pas surpris de le voir prendre le dessus si vous lui en laisser l'occasion. Enlevez lui sa veste, Paul reste toujours aussi intéressé et joueur même si l'absence de tissus le perturbe un peu. Une séance très sympa, dans un excellent esprit dans laquelle on a bien sué en se faisant bien plaisir. A refaire bien évidemment et nécessairement recommandé.

J'ai coché avant le combat deux cases "judo" et "grappling", en judo au sol on peut y mettre le paquet sans craindre de le casser et en effet il faut vraiment mettre le paquet pour le maîtriser. En grappling que je connais moins, lorsque les kimonos s'envolent, c'est plus difficile et là je n'ai pour ainsi dire que servis d'accessoire de musculation. Pour autant AD idf connait les limites de la résistance des corps et permet à son adversaire d'un soir de rentrer indemne après une séance intense et intéressante. Bien sûr je le recommande comme le font tous ces adversaires rencontrés.

What can I say about tap out. First of all a very good guy, interesting to have a long conversation with him. But the most important is that he is a very good wrestler. An experienced one, he knows all the kind of moves and surely you can not escape from him. No chance at all. But the most important he respects the opponent. Very strong, solid and powerful body. The match was perfect and intense. I enjoyed it a lot, and I hope to have the chance to meet him again. Do not miss this guy, if you are at the same place with him. See you soon my friend.

Met kestrel for bills birthday meet and it was a great pleasure to do so. He might not sound confident about his skills but once he's on the mat those skills come out to play! Put me through my paces and had me on the run a few times!

Such a lovely guy to chat to with a nice relaxed attitude which was great to chill and drink tea over. Highly recommended a s hopefully we'll meet again.

11/06/2016: Got a quick grapple in with gedlutte1 at the OWG meet at Pippa's. Unfortunately because of a leg injury he wasn't able to roll with me very long, so I was particularly grateful that he made the effort to play, and the ease with which he got me to submit was therefore all the more impressive. Strong guy! Safe and sane too, and nice to chat to off the mats as well: outgoing, friendly and personable. Highly recommended and I hope to get a longer grapple in with him soon.

I had a pleasant time with Imper. We had a strenous fight where we were very tactic to avoid submission. This guy is very respectful and highly recomandable. He has a formidable body structure and he knows how to use his power in a safe way. You will enjoy your match with him.
